Great location, charming decor, well equipped, responsive hosts

This was an absolutely amazing stay! The apartment was spacious, very comfortable, and well-equipped, but what truly makes this place special is the family who rents it out. Such wonderful, warm, and kind-hearted people – they made us feel completely at home or like we were visiting close family. There are simply no words to describe how incredibly helpful they were. They helped us with transportation and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. They went above and beyond in every way – far more than anyone could ever expect. They even prepared small gifts and snacks for us, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the location was perfect – close to everything. This was truly a dream stay. If we ever return to Syracuse, it will be only here. I can’t recommend this place enough – we are absolutely thrilled and forever grateful!

We had the most wonderful experience staying in this apartment in Ortigia. From the moment we arrived, the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They kindly picked us up from the train station—a huge help when traveling with a child—and even surprised our daughter with a sweet little gift that made her day. The apartment was stocked with an impressive selection of breakfast foods, wine, and local treats. It felt like walking into a home, not just a rental. One thoughtful touch we really appreciated was the dedicated Netflix account for guests—something we’ve never seen before and a great way to relax after a day of exploring. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. They shared amazing local tips, including where to find the best gelato (which absolutely lived up to the hype). Their warmth and attentiveness made a big difference and truly elevated our trip. If you're traveling with family, this place is ideal. It’s comfortable, welcoming, and filled with personal touches that make it stand out. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Ortigia Dreaming is one of the best places I have stayed in Sicily! I came with my family (2 adults, 3 adolescents)for a quick 3 day stay in Syracuse while traveling through Italy…my only complaint is that it wasn’t a 10 day stay! The host, Rosanna, and her son met us upon arrival. The house was enormous compared with most European homes; there was a family room, kitchen, dining room, a loft with 3 beds, a master bedroom, and 2 bathrooms, both with showers! House looked brand new or recently remodeled. Rosanna was great and made sure every need was met. She left us a ton of goodies, and the house has everything you needed including a dishwasher and a washer for clothes. You can air dry at the house, or there is a laundromat 3 minutes away by foot with professional dryers. There is also a beautiful courtyard. The house could not be better situated; 5 minute walk to the square, five star dining literally on either side of the property, a quick walk to historic churches, the Temple of Apollo, and Maniache castle. Rosanna offered to set us up with tours and rides and also made great restaurant recommendations. We will definitely be coming back soon

Beautifully decorated house in heart of Ortigia. Owner provided everything one would need including selection of snacks, cookies, coffee. Kitchen fully equipped including induction cook top, air fryer. Two large queen beds on upper flow with nice living area on ground floor. Two bathrooms each with shower.walking distance to restaurants, market, historical landmarks on island. Owner in constant touch to answer questions about home plus give advice on things to do/see. Her son is a tour guide and gave us wonderful overview of Ortigia

We were in Ortigia at Christmas time. We found the apartament not only clean, comfortable and very well-equipped as promised in the description and photos, but also amazingly decorated and even with nice local gifts for us. Our host Rosssana was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations and advice about what was going on in Siracuse at that time as well as with everything we asked for. From the many benefits of the apartament I would like to stress the very comfortable beds, the excellent equipment and the superior location near the sea promenade and the charming narrow stress and the centre of Ortigia.

There was nothing we did not like. Of course it is to be considerated that it is a historical city centre so the house itself is very old and the door directly at the street (so we would not recommend sleeping at the couch downstairs although it is possible if you are more than 5 people). We found this historical charme amazing!

Fantastic location

It is small, a little cramped

This location allowed us to explore all of Ortigia from swimming, to ancient ruins, to all the wonderful nooks and crannies of this ancient city. Rossana is the perfect host and provides many special amenities!

Amazing location in a beautiful part of Sicily. Rossana our hostess couldn’t have been more helpful. The apartment was very well equipped. The hostess & her family even helped us to get to mount etna. Nothing was too much trouble.

Location fabulous, host superb and very helpful and considerate, lots of welcome goodies 😊 Good air con . Good restaurants recommend.

Electric supply kept cutting out ( easily solved by fuse box switch)
