Absolutely nothing

The whole place was dirty and so many things were broken. The decor was shabby. The furnishings were old and broken. Taped up drawers. Out of date coffee. Old sugar stuck hard to an empty container. Filthy carpets. Broken slabs to negotiate the entrance to the property. Gates that didn’t close properly due to weeds. Moss encrusted outdoor furniture. I really can’t say one good thing about this manky place. We booked for two nights but only stayed for one. Extension leads everywhere. Honestly just a horrible filthy and dangerous place. The info sheet not updated since 2018 and so crumpled it was hard to read and horrible to touch.

Rachel was great keeping in touch, lovely breakfast basket left for us, also left some wellies the morning we had a wee flood with heavy rain so we could get to the car easy, a lovey little apartment.

It was cosy and comfy and had everything we needed. I travelled alone with my dog and felt very safe, we had a lovely stay. He had treats and a snuggly bed and I had slippers and a robe! We both slept very well. Rachel was so helpful with all the instructions and information and left us a lovely breakfast hamper. Great value and location for exploring.

Wifi was a bit hit and miss which didn’t bother me at all as I like to get away from the screen when I’m away and read a book.

Everything. It was peaceful, lovely and cosy. The bed was comfy, great little cosy place. We used it as a base to go to Repton and Dovedale stepping stones and we would happily go back. We were welcomed with items for breakfast and dog treats for our dog :) the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook as we brought our own food, really loved the place and Rachel was friendly and helpful. The locals were all friendly and the local pub saracens head was a nice little stop off nearby with lovely staff and it is dog friendly! Highly recommend this place to stay, thank you again Rachel :)

Nothing. Everything was great

Wonderfully friendly hosts, perfectly quiet and relaxing place. Clear instructions how to get there and i would certainly stay again for a break away. There are beautiful places to visit all around the area too

The only thing I expected was to be a bit closer to walking distance of a pub, my dog is an old lady now and couldn't walk 2/3 miles... there are shops and pubs etc a short drive away so I just planned and has quiet night in :)
