The location of the property was perfect, really quiet and relaxing and the walk to the nearest pub was about 1 mile along a quite country road. The property had everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

The only issue was the amount of flies. I know this is inevitable due to the location and the weather was very hot but I think if there were mesh covers on both windows and a fly curtain on the door this would make a big difference for the better.

There were a couple of nice touches like milk & butter in the fridge upon arrival.

Upon entering the property, we observed a large hole in the door that had been temporarily fixed with duct tape. We then encountered an exceptionally steep, narrow staircase leading to a bed positioned directly beneath a sloping roof, making it impossible to sit up without hitting one's head. Please disregard the images provided. The rental consists of a single compact room that serves as a bedroom, kitchen, and living area all in one. The beams were covered in a layer of dust and cobwebs, and the provided dressing gowns were grey, threadbare, and extemely stiff. The overall cleanliness of the property was lacking, and we soon discovered the mesh screens on the two small windows and fly tape in the draws were there to address an issue with flies. The aforementioned kitchen draws were covered in warning tape & hanging off. To our dismay, we also discovered a flea infestation within the premises. Consequently, we had no choice but to pack our belongings and vacate the property within an hour. The property owner attempted to hold us responsible for the flea infestation, but we possess photographic evidence of flea eggs and larvae beneath the bed, proving their presence prior to our arrival. The owner refused to accept any responsibility or help with any potential solutions & continued to blame us for a problem very obviously there before our arrival. To this date, the owner is still refusing any kind of recompense. We are still pursuing this. Despite the aforementioned issues, we acknowledge the thoughtful gesture of providing milk and butter in the refrigerator upon our arrival. As someone raised in a rural environment, I appreciate rustic charm; however, the conditions of this bedsit rendered it unsuitable for habitation.

What a beautiful little apparentment. In such a quiet place. Once we figured out everything like parking, location of garden, we were set for our lovely weekend stay. Rachel was a wonderful host who helped us switch off from social media and enjoy some much needed couple time. Would love to visit again in the future.

A nice little apartment to stay, they've made it separate to the family cottage even though it's not they've done it so well to be private. Everything you need, quaint, kitchen, bed , bathroom, living room all in one. It's exactly the experience I was expecting, an old cottage with character. Great location to stay and rest while traveling around sightseeing.

Please be aware you may bang your head a few times on the low beam, not something bad of course , just be mindful, it comes with the character.

Everything you need for self catering, host available if needed for local advice, lovely touch with bread, eggs, cereal, dog treats.

Parking for property means having to carry bags through gates and up stairs

Quiet location, little extras on arrival bread, milk, tea, coffee, cereal all essentials if your arrival is late.

Weather and potholes, nothing that could be influenced by the owner.

The location was perfect for quiet dog walks and close enough to some fabulous National Trust sites. The eggs, bead, milk and cereal breakfast was a nice touch and the treats for our pooch. Lots of wildlife/ animals in the local area from horses to rabbits. The apartment was equipped with cooking facilities and crockery. There was tea, coffee and sugar, salt pepper and I think oil. However we had taken our own so didn't use any. A lovely view out of the window the kitchen end of the room. Duvet was nice and heavy/thick. Small 2 seater sofa was comfortable

I can't say I didn't like anything in particular, it was a nice stay. I think a bit of fabric softener would be welcomed for towels and robes they were like sand paper ( however we did have our own so didn't need to use) a very small investment is needed to upgrade the pillows as they are very poor, as well as mattress, a smalller coffee table (current one is way to large for the size of the apartment you can't see over the top of a coffee mug to see the tiny tv) or for no cost sore the legs on the current table..
