We liked that it was in such a quiet area. The owner left us some bread, milk and eggs which is a lovely touch. We are lactose intolerant so couldn't enjoy them. The instructions we're very clear and it was easy to find.

The 2 small gates we're difficult to open and close. The mattress was not comfortable.

It was not as described on website..stated 1bedroom .not so ...a bed behind a small sofa ,stated fireplace .no so ....1 electric heater ,very cramped ,poor lighting,upstairs over a garage ,we left one day early as we were cold and uncomfortable ..

Specifically chosen as we were attending a wedding locally. Compact, but perfect for our needs. Lovely touch of milk, bread and eggs provided. A light was left on and warm when we arrived. Plenty of towels, and hot water for showers. We didn’t see our host, but she responded promptly to e mails which was fine for us.

Better to say what may be improved. Lovely warm duvet, but some new pillows for the bed wouldn’t go amiss, and a brighter light in the kitchen area. The access is a little complicated, having to padlock the gate each time. Glad we didn’t arrive in the dark.

We arrived after dark and the process of collecting the key was a little more difficult. The key box wasn't well lit and I had to use my phone torch whilst also trying to read the combination from the email and move the dials. The gates didn't open very well which made getting our luggage through difficult. Once in the property, we were greeted with milk, eggs, cereal and bread which was a really nice touch especially as we were hungry and in the middle of the countryside. We had an issue on arrival and the host rectified this straightaway. She was incredibly pleasant and gave us a very good recommendation for a local activity: maze52.com

The whole key collection process was quite stressful as the key box and area wasn't well lit and the gates didn't open properly. Also, the dripping tap was a tad annoying but in keeping with our Halloween stay 😉

Lovley location, overlooking fields, very quiet road

Access a bit difficult , but manageable, my other half struggled with the low beams being 6' 5" . You just have to be very aware till you get used to them.

The flies lots of them they were on everything X even got in the kettle had to go buy fly catchers could not leave a cup or glass unattended and trying to eat was bad because flies on table and food
