"The approach lane had huge and numerous potholes. But a good venue for short drives to the peaks."

5.0

It was very good to find our host had provided eggs, bread, cereal and milk for us. We had not been expecting it.

Stairs, low beams, uncomfortable seating and no cover on the duvet. We had not realised the nature of the apartment. It was unsuitable for two over 70s with mobility issues.

Quirky cottage loft conversion. Lots of original features. Lovely to hear bird song in the morning and horses, sheep in adjoining land.

Pot holes on roads in area dangerous and unforgiving.

"Beautiful little hideout"

8.0

The location was excellent, very secure. The property had everything you needed, including breakfast cereal, bread, eggs, milk, and butter. Dog bed, bowl, and treats. They also provided if needed toiletries. The space was basic but very functional. You can watch the horse riding from the windows. Own private garden which in better weather would be lovely. Owners on hand for local information if needed. Phone Signal nonexistent! Perfect for a quiet, non interrupt getaway.

The beams were covered in cobwebs The shower needs a good clean And the pillows are flatter than flat. Definitely in need of updating. Leaflets need clearing or updating some out of date.

"Lovely, cosy accommodation, recommend for a short break!"

8.0

Based in a really lovely village, easy to find and easy to park. Good communication from hosts with easy to follow instructions. The accommodation was the perfect bolt hole, for me and my dog, for a walking weekend. The studio was clean, comfortable and warm. It had two decent heaters, given it was -5, I surprisingly didn't feel cold at all. Racheal also switched these on prior to our arrival, which made for a warm welcome. It had a well equipped kitchen; some breakfast bits and milk were waiting for us, I thought this was a lovely touch. There were also some dog treats and poo bags for my dog which he was chuffed about! Very quiet, relaxing location. Great pub 1mile down the road "Saracens Head" great food and very friendly locals and staff, big fire and dog friendly.

The only annoyance for me was the gate system. Juggling your luggage, a dog, keys and a torch through 2 gates and a tight spot was not fun and after a long journey, it didnt make a good first impression. The key safe was easy to find and had a small light, but the rest of the area was dark. Both gates don't open easily or naturally, they both required lifting and jiggling about to open and close, one gate is hindered by an overgrown bush on its hinges. The paddlock also froze on 2 occasions, which was frustrating but can't be helped (I appreciate it's not usually such low temperatures). I realise it is to safeguard pets/children, but I think one well working, well lit gate would suffice.
