Home relaxation in the city

The place had everything! home away from home. My fiance and i came for business and leisure It was the first time booking at self catering apartment. We didn't sleep there! But the experience was bad

Arriving at the place the security told us to call the agent to pick us up! Well i took the nr ask for help on Whatsapp she was taking forever to respond Then security helped us to get in because of the confirmation email. Going in to the room it was stressful again. The security try helping us to get the key. We call the agent she picked the phone then told us that we must do POP and we asked what is that? She explained that it's a key deposit for incase of damage, we said ok we will deposit because we were driving to the WaterfrontMall for the meeting, all we needed is to drop off the bags. After that call the phone was off and we still looking for the keys she left as stranded for almost 1 hour Security plate a big role he called the agent till she open the door for us. We did the check list unfortunately Toile was not working! We aske the same security what can we do? He told us to call The Agent! As we were driving to the meeting at Waterfront and running late the Agent called to tell us we don't discuss anything with Security! We told the Agent the we have a broken toilet and she said that its a new problem she was not told about that but she kept on saying please pay R1000 and we said that yes but before you get that R1000 that Toilet must be fixed because I'm on the Period. We can't be sleeping with a broken Toilet! We waited for the respond from the Agent On the way back from second meeting from khayelitsha are 19:00 she call but she was out of line as she was aggressive to us telling us that we will see where we going to sleep, we said that we want to see the Toilet before we can deposit that R1000 because we are driving back to the place. When we got there she blocked all the access and didn't allow us to get in. She told the Security to tell us that we should come back tomorrow 13th at 10:30 to get the Luggage. We had another meeting that Saturday morning!

I don't like giving bad review but this was just too much. The host asked us if we could check-in at 14.30 as she had an issue with a locksmith. We were happy to oblige and arrived at 15.30. The apartment hadn't been cleaned. The diningroom table had wet bedding on it. There were wet towels in the bathroom basin. I asked the cleaning lady if I could check if the bedding in the tumble dryer was dry. It was soaking wet. The cleaning lady was trying to iron some of the bedding to get it dry. There was no internet as the guests before us used it all on Netflix. The host was very dishonest as she says she was under the impression that we would arrive after 5pm. I called booking.com informing them of our experience and that we would not be staying. I booked alternative accommodation through booking.com. I was told by booking.com that the host has to refund me. She has still not done so. I was very disappointed in Booking.com as it is there duty to help with host who doesn't deliver the required service. I hate dishonesty and that is what this host is. I have been using Booking.com for many years booking local abd internationally. I paid R2900 and Booking.com offered me about R435 on my next booking. This dishonest host sent me pics of the apartment at 17.30 to show me the apartment is clean we can check-in. She also sent the pics to Booking.com and told them the apartment was clean at 17.30 and we did not want to check-in. Did she really expect us to hang around until then to check-in.

Location easy access to the mall

We enjoyed the views,the pools and just the ability to relax. We stayed here before and previously loved it and re-booked it again but after our second stay there's alot to consider before booking it. This was our honeymoon get away

This was our honeymoon get away and there was nothing special done even though the host knew about it. We also had to wait almost 30 mins to check in after we were there on time, and when we had to check out the host made sure we check out on time no later. What we didn't like was that we were held responsible for a cigarette bud that was thrown into the bin and was charged a R500 for damages but there were non, the lifts are the worst as we had to walk up and down 6 flight of stairs with our bags because the lifts were not working, to top it off on the day off arrival the host told us that we need to pay a R1000 refundable damage fee which was not a problem but a little head up when booking the place would've been nice. So make sure you know that. No damage or broken items but yet we were penalized R500 for this cigarettes bud which we picked up and they found in the dirt bin.
