The Riddoch Apartment by The National Trust Scotland

location, location, location- This was right in the heart of the old town but just off the royal mile so quiet. the facilities were excellent and the flat was beautifully put together. Perfect place to stay in edinburgh for a couple.

The only thing we were slightly disappointed about was there was no tea or coffee in the apartment on our arrival. I would also advise that if you are not physically able to climb narrow steep stairs it is not the accommodation for you!

The host provided lots of information on how to get there and a number if we needed anything. The decor was lovely and location was amazing.

The host was super communicative and the location was fantastic. The bed was incredibly comfy and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. We had a fantastic stay and would love to return!

Super nit picky, we would have loved a blanket to cosy up on the sofa with and there was a Wi-Fi box above the bedroom door which had blinking lights at night which woke me up a few times.

Good location in lovely historic building. Some glasses missing due to previous breakages. Once reported a very pleasant helpful lady arranged replacements from other flats in the building.

The flat is owned by National Trust for Scotland. Their manager (I assume) sent emails with updated information and asking for me to complete feedback for him and thanked us for staying in his home, which I don’t quite understand!! I sent him a number of emails prior to our arrival asking whether we could drop our luggage off early to which I received no response, however when I rang the contact number a helpful lady facilitated this.

Two TV's but neither worked. Apartment really quite small.

Excellent location, the staircase was tricky to negotiate with cases and bags .

Location is brilliant- stones throw from the Castle. Flat is quirky, fun and cosy.

The location is superb, the apartment well equipped. The kitchen and shower great!

The closet in the bedroom is unusable. One because there is too much stuff in there already and two because it reeks of mold. I hung one dress in there and it smelled really bad the next day!

Absolutely beautiful and highly specked apartment literally on the royal mile and 3 mins walk from the castle, great shower, televisions in both living and bedroom. Highly recommend

The only downside is the staircase it’s extremely winding and spirals round, quirky and characteristic though..

The flat is absolutely beautiful, everything was super clean and location is amazing right off the royal mile.

The stairs are a bit windy and steep so be careful!
