Clamshell Land - Royal Mile

we couldn't get the shower and bath to work. n extrav hairdryer would be great. a socket near a mirror would be easier..

Location of the apartment was perfect for our stay, host (Michelle) kept us up to date in a timely manner on how to access the apartment - great service

Not a dislike - but the TV needs to be looked into - the only channel that work was BBC Iplayer - and we couldn't get You Tube to work either - not a big issue for us - but thought we'd let the propert know

Everything was perfect. The host was available to contact whenever we had any generall.queries. we were able to leave our bags on departure day until we were ready to leave for airport.

There was nothing to dislike. Only thing to bear in mind when booking is our appartment was up a steep flight of stairs!! But for us it wasnt a problem!

Very central, very comfortable and clean. Has all the amenities.

A bit noisy at times.

The location was absolutely fantastic. You are basically a 10 minute walk from everything you want to see. We bought the tickets for the hop on hop off bus but just ended up walking to everything anyways. It was clean and comfortable, and Michelle was great.

The big bathtub was awkward to take a shower in. The water kept shutting off in the middle of showering so we all just used the upstairs shower, which worked just fine. It is also very loud considering you are in the middle of everything. We just put some sleep music on our phones and it was pretty good at masking all the noises.

An oasis of peaceful, calm tranquillity, and comfort. Everything you need in the kitchen. After a day of sight seeing the jacuzzi bath and sauna are a god send. Communication regarding key codes, perfect. A beautiful comfortable apartment, great people watching place over the main street.

Towels a little on the skinny side

The location is superb, overlooking the Royal Mile. The apartment was clean and spacious and the kitchen well stocked

Lack of storage space in the twin-bedded room and no hooks. Nowhere to hang towels, particularly when they were wet. The bath was so big it was impractical to use.

Excellent location. Apartment was very clean and communication with apartment manager was great. Lovely spacious flat, comfy beds and the sauna was an added bonus.

Tim and his team were great with communication before and during our stay. If you are training into Edinburgh and want a place to stay that is really in the heart of the historic area then this is the place for you. History is all around this place. It is an easy walk from the train station and then an easy walk to anything close to the Royal Mile. The property itself is well kept and the kitchen was easy to cook in. If you are not going to cook there are many choices of eating establishments near by. There were 7 of us sharing this space... my husband and I along with our 3 teen-young 20s "children" and my in-laws. That was a lot of adults in the same location and we never felt like we didn't have enough space to chill out after a long day of sight seeing. It is spacious with plenty of seating for everyone.

This is more just something to be aware of... This is a very touristy area with a busy night life. It can be noisy at night. This would apply to any properties in this area. I'm still recommending Clamshell Land to all my friends who might be visiting the Royal Mile!
