Edinburgh Central Apartment

Threatened to call the police and have us thrown out for having extra guests visit briefly , constantly watching you on the ring camera never had such a bad experience when renting out an apartment WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Central position, comfort beds, a lot of shampoos, cooking oil, coffee-tea-sugar etc.

The first thing I didn't like was the cold in apart-s. And we had to turn on the heating ourselves, although the cleaning lady was cleaning the apartment right before of us and could turn on the heating in advance. One room never warmed up, when we turned on the heating, and my daughter had to sleep with a hat on. It was forbidden to turn on the heating more than 21 degrees. We tried to turn on the heater more than 21, the owner remotely twisted it back! A huge number of instructions throughout the apartment. The owner installed a camera in front of the door and watched us, which seems not very pleasant to us. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom for 6 people for 2 days. We travel quite often, and the owners always calculate the number of people and days and put as much paper as may be required. In chat with the owner, when I said that one roll of paper was not enough for us, she began to lecture me: "you can buy your own paper, you came here to spend money!'' Well, the worst thing is that at first we booked the apartment for 5 people and then asked permission to add a sixth person, the owner allowed it and we paid extra money for it. And after living in the apartment for one day, the owner sends me a message: “I see (watching in the camera) that there are six of you. If in 10 minutes the sixth person does not leave the apartment, I will call the police!!!!!!!” And one of us got blood on the bed linen, after which the owner said that she had never encountered guests like us and that it would cost more than £15 to wash the linen. And one more thing: while we were living in the apartment, the owner canceled our reservation and Booking.com sent me a question: “please tell me whether you checked into the apartment or not, because we see that the owner canceled the reservation.” I also read in reviews, when people give a low rating and describe what they were unhappy with, the owner answers to everyone: “You are a liar!

I liked the distance to the centre of the city. A 30-minute walk to anywhere we wanted. The beds were nice and had an enjoyable shower every day.

If you don't like instructions or rules in an apartment, this is not the place for you. There are a lot of them. Some of them I felt were over the top but I guess it depends who stayed before me and how they treated the apartment.

The apartment was like home from home Had everything we needed in it. Location is brilliant. Emma was very easy to deal with and very helpful.

Perfect for our overnight stopover, 15 minute walk to Xmas markets, fully kitted with everything we needed!

On street parking not cheap but it’s city centre so guess you’d have to expect that.

I loved that there was tea and coffee and cereal available. It was warm and clean, the host was very friendly and helpful and it was excellent location - great value for money.

Nothing

Rooms are well furnished so enough beds and everything there for a good stay. Everything easily in walking distance and quiet.

Its an old house: some chill /draught coming through the main door, but its warm enough/easy to boost heat if needed.
