Historic Edinburgh 1890s Home Turned Relaxing Retreat

Very clean, cozy, attractive property that was thoughtfully appointed and stocked. It was quite close to walk to major sights in ok weather, and buses were just around the corner. The beds were comfortable, and it is a small but nice bathroom with a good shower. We happily used the kitchen and laundry-laundry rack/ nice quality appliances-dishes, and handy little kitchen “extras” in cupboard. Our hosts were excellent communicators, very responsive to issues.

The entryway was unexpectedly forbidding (unheated cement central stair) but on consideration we understood it’s a building that is a bit older than the Canadian province we come from… Small plumbing issue was responded to, and unlikely to recur.

Location was fine.. a short walk to where we wanted to be. The owner Claire was a lovely lady and very helpful.

The bathroom was very small. Also security lights from communal hallway shone into one bedroom disturbing sleep.spoken to the owner and she has promised to look at that issue

Everything was great. Lots of space. Comfortable beds. Very responsive owner. Beautiful place

The stairs were a little challenging with large suitcases. Bathroom was tiny, but functional

Location was brilliant, everything was clean and the instructions were very clear. Appreciated the detail in what was provided ahead of time.

The shower was broken and so couldn't attach to the fixture. The instructions suggested there would be some light refreshments (tea/coffee/sundries) left for us but this wasn't the case. We wouldn't have noted it but odd that this is what w we're told before arriving, to find everything bare and empty. For the price, we had expected that it would meet expectation and so we're a little disappointed overall.

Very clean and comfortable.

A little far from the Royal Mile and the centre of fun.

Easy check in and check out process. High celling. Free fruits, croissants, milk. Great location.

It would have been a bit of a squeeze if 5 people had been staying
