Historic Edinburgh 1890s Home Turned Relaxing Retreat

Great location and great character property that was presented well and comfy.

It’s not something I didn’t like as such as you probably expect it for such a central place but parking was a little bit of a faff and transporting all the bags between where we parked and the apartment (up 2 flights). We managed but probably more difficult with younger kids.

Great location, close to restaurants and a train station. The host was very helpful and always answered my enquiries promptly. The apartment was clean and comfortable and very quiet. A home away from home.

2 flights of stairs up but didn’t stop us enjoying the break away.

The lock to the main front door needs to be replaced. We struggled a bit to enter using the key.

Liked everything until I locked myself out of the flat. So remember taking a set of keys down to the front door

Host was always available and responded to our questions and requests immediately. The apartment is spotless, well-appointed and comfortable, in a quiet area with convenient public transport to town center, a supermarket and restaurants nearby.

Small bathroom but this didn't bother us. We knew in advance that there was a two-story walk up to the apartment.
