The West Bow View Apartment

Top locatie, middenin de oude stad. Alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Communicatie met host verliep via e-mail, hebben de verhuurder verder niet gezien. Sleutelkastje bij de deur.

Bed was erg zacht en een beetje klein; 1,40m. Ook waren de trappen toch wel veel. Je loopt de hele dag al omhoog en omlaag. Het zijn onregelmatige treden, waardoor elke stap corrigeren is.

A very central location and what you would expect, being at the West Bow end of Grassmarket in the Old Town, with a great view overlooking Grassmarket and up toward the Castle. It was easy to access lots of the Fringe Festival venues, such as on Cowgate and George Square Gardens, and of course The Royal Mile. The accommodation itself was well equipped, with complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee and kitchen items and the hosts were helpful with checking in, keys, and a slightly later check out time.

The sofa was very uncomfortable - although we spent a lot of time out, it would have been nice to have somewhere more comfortable to chill at the end of the day and in the mornings. The bed, although comfortable, was a standard double and was not long enough - my OH is not particularly tall, but his feet extended beyond the end of the bed. The stairs (64) to the upper floors must be a consideration for anyone staying here but that is clear in the information and not unusual for this type of accommodation.

Location is very central & fabulous though extremely noisy (till 5AM) in this season with the tourist crowds below. Well fitted and clean. Good checkin instructions.

64 steps to the Apartment no.5. Junk storage on the landing outside the appartment made the entry an eyesore. No fans inspite of the high temperatures. Windows had to be kept open during the night which made sleeping a challenge because of the street noise.

La ubicacion y las instalaciones del departamento. Muy bien equipado, comodo moderno.

Muchas escaleras para subir, el palier y las escaleras sucios.

Amazing location, we were close to everything and it saved us a lot of time being so close to all what we wanted to explore in Edinburgh

The no elevator part, we had many heavy luggages that we had to carry to the 3rd floor on narrow stairs (it was not a surprise, it was mentioned in the description just did not know how challenging it would be). Also the carpets could use some deep cleaning, but it wasn’t that bad.
