Central Hidden Gem - Fremantle Apartment

The fully equipped kitchen, lovely soft towels, proximity to central Fremantle and the waterfront. Tastefully decorated with lots of little touches to make it warm and inviting.

Unnecessarily complicated key collection and entry instructions, which were incomplete and necessitated us calling the helpline in order to be able to operate the electronic front door lock. The long list of instructions we were sent before arrival and before departure. It doesn't seem reasonable, when such a high nightly rate is charged, that guests are required to empty all bins and empty the dishwasher, or risk being charged an additional cleaning fee. We've paid much less at other places that don't make this threat! The apartment is in a large, busy building. There appears to be many holiday rentals alongside residents. We didn't always feel entirely safe moving through the common areas with our young children. The issue is more pronounced in the surrounding streets, particularly at night. The bedrooms were stifling during our stay. We encountered a severe heatwave in Fremantle and the air conditioning in the living room didn't cool the bedrooms at all. Pedestal fans will be an absolute must if you are planning to have more guests staying during summer. We note that a previous reviewer had to purchase a fan. We couldn't do this as we were flying home after our visit. Without fans, and being unable to open windows while it was 31C during the night, we struggled to sleep well. The mattress in the master bedroom felt 'saggy' in the centre and would benefit from an upgrade!

Apartment was well furnished with some nice touches.

The microwave convection element kept tripping off the electric. But the helpline was able to assist and rectify the problem. The door hand key sensitive pad took a while to get used to but worked well.

Central location and well equipped apartment. Kitchen had lots of equipment and extras like spices which made meal prep easy. Comfortable beds.

No aircon or fans in bedrooms and limited airflow on warm evenings. Bought a pedestal fan the second night. Early noise from council trucks pumping to water gardens nearby. Noisy compared to other places we’ve stayed in Freo but closer to everything.
