Apartamento en la Playa The Tides

We had a nice time with the family. Most of the time we were at the pool and the kids had fun. There could be more umbrellas there for shade. The water in the pool was really warm, too warm! The apartment was comfortable, I loved the decorations but it’s an old apartment. The fridge, the dishwasher, the microwave worked perfectly and in the kitchen you can find almost everything you need. There was a blender I wanted to use but it had a different outlet so, it was useless. There were one kitchen towel, 2 dishwasher pods and 1 toilet paper. It’s was the first time I rented an apartment and I didn’t know what to expect, but for a week, none of those supplies was enough. But, maybe this is the way it should be, I don’t know. Walmart was 4 minutes away from us, and Publix about 6-7 minutes. The beds was comfortable, there was many extra pillows and blankets. The towels were very old with rust stains. Beach towels were enough for us, bath towels too, but smaller towels were only 2. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers on each floor. It cost $1.85 for each cycle. You can charge the laundry card with minimum $10. Everything worked good. I was surprised that almost everyone from the The Tides was speaking Spanish, probably I should learn the language too if I’m planning to come back.

just about everything was perfect ! we’ll definitely be going back to the same place next year !

the beds were a little uncomfortable their was only 1 wash cloth for our family of 5 for 5 nights and the toaster was broken which we use that a lot for our kids .

The location

We arrived before regular check-in time and upon request were allowed to store our suitcase in the room while it was being cleaned. And then, we were able to check-in 2 hours ahead of scheduled time, as soon as the cleaning crew finished.

There are NO toiletries in the bathroom. Luckily, 7-Eleven is right across the street, so we were able to get soap and shampoo.

Great location, right on the seashore, very convenient for everything around here. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need for basic cooking/heating food.

The apartment wasn't very clean; with sand on the floor and a lot of stickiness on the floor which we had to clean ourselves as we have a toddler who was running around in the apartment bare feet. They do not provide toiletries and also had to ask for hand & wash towels as they were not available. The sofa beds in the living room have loose springs due to which it is hard to sit on them as they slide even with slight movement. The manager/contact person wasn't very responsive except on the day of check-in and check-out.

the staff was awful and took so long to check us in that it was past midnight yet we were still charged for a weeks worth of parking. insane to me. on top of all the other hidden fees to just walk around the place. the bedding was so fragranced from the laundry we both woke up with horrible allergies.
