Waldhaus Igls

Very welcoming owners. Well equipped kitchen. Large balcony. Lovely views. Very quiet area, with local restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Good bus and tram links into Innsbruck.

The beds were a bit hard. But that is personal opinion.

Waldhaus Igls is a beautiful, spacious accommodation located approx 20 minutes outside of Innsbruck city centre. It is fantastically accessible (though up a hill!) There are local buses running frequently to the city from a nearby stop and some charming restaurants and cafes in the town of Igls itself. You are well situated on the J bus line, which goes from Nordkette station to Patscherkofel, and there is a swimming lake also within easy reach using the same bus. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained; Family Wolf are excellent attentive hosts and were always available for our questions. We were seven guests and there was plenty of room. The views of the surrounding landscape were breathtaking, even in the summer. The facilities within the property were excellent. The onsite sauna and swimming pool were a godsend for tired travellers, or even to cool down on a hot day. The ability to pre-order fresh bread and pastries was a true luxury as well, setting us up well for breakfast and enabling us to pack a delicious lunch for our day. The property is well-built and noises from other guests were at a minimum.

If you have limited mobility, the location could be an issue if travelling by public transport. There is a 3-5 minute walk up a hill from the bus stop to the accommodation. However that was not my experience and Ubers were able to drive right to the door.

We had a wonderful stay at Waldhaus Igls! The hosts are excellent, really attentive and helpful, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. We loved the terrace and made good use of the facilities (pool and ping pong table etc). Igls is a lovely town and it's super easy to catch the bus into the city centre. We'll stay again if we ever return to Innsbruck area, and would highly recommend! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had issues with the wifi not working in our apartment - but this sounded like an unfortunately timed temporary issue as the hosts were trying to get that sorted and a technician was coming to fix it, so I wouldn't imagine this is a general concern with the property.

Very nice area, quiet, and hiking spots (for example Patscherkofel) are close. Property was very clean, we loved it!

We had a complete unit, roomy, complete kitchen, dining area, large bed in an older building. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Parking is free. Because we stayed for 3 nights we qualified for the Innsbruck free transit pass. Consequently we traveled all over using public transit. The bus stop was 3 minutes away and the bus came every 10 minutes into town. The tram was 15 minutes away and comes every 60 minutes. Several restaurants are in the village. A grocery store is 10-12 minutes away but an uphill walk back. The property is in a quiet neighborhood.

Food shopping is not very convenient. No other negatives come to mind.

10min bus ride from Innsbruck and located in nice quiet surroundings with lots of natures around. The hotel had beautiful backyard with mountain views, sauna and pool. Room were old but comfortable enough.

There was no internet available in our room and we had mentioned it but it was not fixed during our stay. While there were amazing facilities available in the building, staff were not around during the day that we were not able to enjoy when we would liked. Also no much explanation of the area or the facility at check in so although there were lots of amazing things in the building that could’ve been offered, we didn’t feel very accommodated.

Everything was perfect! The apartment, the location, the hosts :) we had an amazing time in Innsbruck!
