Brett's Rest Nel

Brett and his friendly dog will welcome you, qhen you arrive. He will explain all facilities, so you can enjoy the right resolution projector with Hugh screen, high speed WiFi, video steam apps, stove and etc. He answered all questions in chatbox, shared me his favorite places in the Island when we meet. I arrive quite late one day one, and he gave me a call to confirm my status and make sure I can reach the house. One more thing, if you know taking photo of the star, here is the best place.

We were sent clear instructions on how to find the property and enter it. As we were arriving late at night, Brett met us there to make sure we could easily get in and orientate ourselves.

We enjoyed our time at Brett's Rest. Brett is a very attentive caring host. He is always available to help - nothing is too much. The cottage is large, but cosy and warm. Everything you need is there. We were impressed with the entertainment system (TV projector and huge screen) gives you a cinematic effect. The location is fantastic = like living on a farm. Kingscote is only minutes away by car with lovely cafés, restaurants, supermarket and a lovely seafront.

It was a great set up for a log fire and a copy night in . Where you can have the outside in if you like.

There was some dampness issues in the bathroom

Location was a quiet, rural setting but close to Kingscote (5 minute drive). Felt like you were in the countryside. Excellent kitchen and lounge with great audiovisual facilities. Lounge opened up onto deck and paddock. Very accommodating host with superb communication. Easy to find fro provided instructions but don't use Google Map directions.

Suggest signage on gate into paddock just to confirm the correct place.

Nothing to mention

My partner and I enjoyed the peaceful cabin, a couple of minutes from the main township. The Cabin was clean and Brett was friendly and welcoming. As country people, we appreciated the seclusion from any closeby neighbours. Bed was comfy too!

Very affordable accommodation

I was travelling solo with my young daughter and she picked the property specifically because of the open front area. The first time we opened the door, a dog from the property walked into the cabin and barked at me and my daughter. She is scared of dogs, so the blind went down and we didn't get to enjoy the place as intended. Every time we drove in, the dog would come to the car and bark at us, so it was an ordeal getting into the cabin with a scared child. I did not raise this at the time because as a solo female traveller, it often doesn't feel safe to make a complaint when you are vulnerable (secluded location, owner on site in a van next to you), and it may have been able to be resolved if I did! But if we had known there was a loose dog on the property we wouldn't have booked this stay.
