Bretts Rest AZA

We absolutely loved the place! The location was tranquil and remote, just what we were after, but at the same time it was a great base for exploring Kangaroo Island. Kingscote, the nearest town, with its supermarket, shops, and bars, was only a 5-minute drive away; Penneshaw, with the ferry to the mainland, was 45 minutes by car; Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park was a 30-minute drive away, and Seal Bay was 45 minutes away. Our cabin was clean, spacious, and well maintained. It had a lounge with a sofa and a TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy bedroom with a comfortable bed, and a bathroom with a shower, towels and toiletries. There was also a large porch, where we enjoyed sitting with our morning coffee, listening to the sounds of nature, and watching the sunrise. Brett was a great host, very helpful and responsive. He provided us with all the information we needed, including the correct directions, as the ones provided by Google Maps were inaccurate. It was a shame that we could only spend two nights there, as we could have easily stayed for a week. The cabin had everything we would have needed for a longer stay. If we ever return to Kangaroo Island, this place will be our first choice for accommodation.

Bretts Rest was a perfect place for our stay to explore KI, had everything we needed. Close to shops, and the awesome KI brewery for a sunset beverage. We will definitely be back.

Reasonably comfortable cosy cottage, quiet location

No eating area inside, lacked any outside lighting to safely navigates the steps when accessing your vehicle.

The place was in the perfect location to explore the whole of Kangaroo Island, and Brett was a great help to our every need thanks again Brett
