"A magical place with probably the best hosts in the world!"

Jill & Peter are some of the most incredible people I’ve met in my NZ travels so far - caring, funny and insightful. They alone make this property a 10, however the cute room, beautiful and secluded surroundings definitely contribute!

Not necessarily a negative, but I would recommend you bring your own groceries so that you’re not having to drive far and can truly take in the area

Jill was an amazing host who went out of her way (along with her husband, Pete) to make my stay comfortable. She made me a hot chocolate to warm me up after I came in from the rain and Pete drove me to dinner at the local pub. The room was comfortable and cozy.

Well setup accommodation with everything you need and extra! Very clean and beautiful garden view from the deck. The decoration is very cool with owls of all sorts everywhere, we loved it!

Owls Rest is a clean, quiet stay. We stayed after biking Queen Charlotte Track, but also would be a lovely spot to explore Anakiwa. Jill and Peter are amazing and kind hosts. The spot was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend.
