Montreal Authentic appartment

The location is close to public transportation and within walking distance from a main shopping road: Toronto Road. Also, the reserved car space at the back of the property is a good option

The fact is that pictures do not reflect the standard of the rooms; in the picture, there is a relatively comfortable "L" shaped sofa, but in the property, there is a 2-seat quite uncomfortable sofa in the living room made by separating bedrooms. This leaves the living room with no windows or natural light at all. The Internet connection is good, although one day was going on and off; I found the modem in the living room TV unit, but even after resetting was the same. In any case could have been a major fault with the provider; in the afternoon, the connection was good again. I do not know who lives above but from 5 PM to 10 PM are pretty noisy, but very tranquil at night time. Some of the windows have sellotape around the frames; not sure how to change the property temperature as the eating system has no instructions, and the heaters look to me quite old.

Please disregard the previous review I did below. It was for Montecassino hotel in Toronto! The Montreal Apartment was a great place to stay in so many ways, but mostly because of the location right next to the metro. It was large, the beds were good, lovely to have a kitchen and laundry facilities all in working order. It was also super to have off street parking! We never met the host but he was very good at communicating what we needed by email. There is also a lovely little grocery store up the street from the metro. The negatives are that it is not beautifully appointed, like mismatched dishes, forks and knives, the towels were skimpy, and also the floors did not look dirty but our bare feet showed otherwise. We would stay there again in spite of those shortcomings.

Helpfully let us leave our luggage while we went to the.biodome and pick it up late. Nice spacious place.

Location was fantastic. The space was amazing. The amenities e.g. washer dryer, parking, walkable eateries and metro etc. were awesome.

My only gripe was the bathtub: it didn't drain during a shower.

Contactless key collection was cool Communication with the host was good Two bedrooms was a good deal Close to Metro ( underground) station. Just one minute walking distance. Safe neighborhood TV dinning table up to six seats Laundry Beds  Homey feel Taxi cabs on the right side of the house on the Metro station flank. 5 minutes walking distance to the "car free zone" with live music, restaurants/bars, grocery stores Bar in front of the unit with Billiard/Pool table open till late Pharmaprix/shoppers and Familypharma Busses stop just in front if the building Trees lines Depanneur ( convenient stores) Internet and TV

Old house and smell of moldy old wooden floor and walls Dirty floor including the bathroom No curtains in the kitchen even though it faces outside stairs from neighbors ( no privacy) Towels are so small It almost feels like an empty/naked house. It lacks decoration and care Disorganized indeed Bathroom needs deep cleaning ( bathtub, with black old stains from the bath mat, dust in corners ...) The bedsheets and or pillows smell like old sweat ( untidy) TV acts weird. Some channels like CNN etc... were often fast-forwarding and volume decreases or increased itself Suggestions: - decoration ( live or fake plants, corner tables, wall tables with plants and or decorative clothes) - Organization ( decluttering) - Small Dinning table would be great - Decorative Kitchen curtains would be great -improve the guest info booklet: restaurants/bar around, orientation or walkthrough of the house, - breakers box could be indicated professionally with printed paper ( instead of chalk or markers on the cupboard) -new beds would be a good deal, including a boxspring for the second bed by the TV room - Little balcony is useless because it has no chairs, no table ( empty balcony) and it would be better to make it more private ( with balcony privacy cover) -Living room is also outdated. The loveseat seems like it needs a deep cleaning ( it stinks like an old gym bag). - Very squeaky old house, and I could hear the neighbor on the second floor ( upstairs) snoring even breathing - Bathroom is really in need for renovation, the light on the mirror could be better covered, tiles on the wall by the washroom door are peeling off. -OVERPRICED!!!!!

Literally across the road from the metro station so very easy to get around. The apartment had everything we needed.

It was a bit warm in the night and the sheets were a little uncomfortable. There is a fire station just down the road and the front room is next to the road so could be quite noisy.

It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the proximity to the metro station. Also there were only a few steps up to the apartment, so it was easy to carry a suitcase up. It's within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants.
