MY80 Apartment located in the inner of Melbourne CBD

The unit it’s self is perfectly adequate and in a very central and easy to get to location. However, the company that manages this unit does not operate from Australia and does not seem to follow normal practices. They will ask you for your ID and credit card details via email ( which is completely insecure) in order to access the accommodation.I reached out to booking.com and got no help. In the end I transfered the $300 deposit, rather than share my credit card details. I am yet to have my deposit returned

I had to PayID $300 to get the code for the keysafe + send screenshots to a random number. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone about getting my $300 deposit back. I feel like I have been scammed. The phone number is either switched off or not connected. Carpet was stained bathroom and shower were not in a good state.

Mainly communication. I feel like I have been scammed out of $300 security deposit. No contact numbers that work. No one is replying to my text messages.

Great location

A few things a little run down, overly complex check in process with communication problems as compared to other properties where it’s no fuss.

Kettle didn't work, I boiled water with a pan to make a cuppa. Fridge didn't really work as the freezer was frozen over. The silicon behind the kitchen & bathroom taps need to be replaced or cleaned with exit mould

Not a lot

The lack of respect from the staff, refusing to answer calls, the bed was broken, the couch was broken. It was also advertised as having 2 bedrooms with large double beds and they were lucky to be king singles. I called the manager and staff multiple times, they promised to rectify the issue, then they never contacted me again. I’m still waiting on the $300 bond refund. It was that bad that we had to move accomodation. I asked for a refund only for 2 days of the accomodation, not for the full amount and still not helpful at all. It has been the worst accomodation experience I have ever had in 20 years of work travel.

We didn’t receive our Deposit back. Messaged several times but didn’t get an answer.
