Flinders Street 238, CLEMENTS HOUSE at Federation Square, Melbourne, Australia

The location was terrific and the concierge was pleasant. The building was very secure and the room quiet.

While quite comfortable, the apartment was fairly shabby and smelt a little musty when we arrived. The bed linen was old, and while I am sure it was clean showed stains. The bathroom grout was slightly grubby and the shower was over a deep small bath which, with its fixed glass screen and high edge, meant two senior women felt unsafe getting in and out, so opted for flannel washes instead. Also there was no opportunity to store our bags before an evening flight on the final day as the reception desk closed at 2pm. Fortunately there was a good paid storage facility a few doors away on Flinders Street.

Location was amazing. Sue, the host, was very welcoming. She met us at the lobby to check us in because we came after hours. Train station right out the front as well as all the foods and cafes.

Great location near Flinders Station & handy to city circle tram stop & food venues in Desgraves Street. Security great. Is a uni lodge so basic but adequate & value for money

It was central to everything, transport at front door... Lisa was such a fabulous host, so helpful n great information. Everything u could want within walking distance.

Very close to restaurants, pubs,mcg, trains, trams, buses. Very convenient for 2 people only maybe 3 max.

The free to air tv channels were not working. But Netflix & YouTube was fine.

Located right in the center of Flinders Street just opposite the Flinders Street Station. Unfortunately the apartment cannot be accessed directly by car due to the construction of a new metro station just adjacent to it. Had to walk a short distance to reach the entrance. The host, Sue was exceptionally patient with us for our checking in especially. Kudos to her! Security was good and card access is required throughout your journey up to the apartment. The apartment block appears to have just underwent some renovation. The apartment we book was on the lower floor facing the side road. Was a little tight for 4 adults more so if you have large luggages. Otherwise it was very warm cosy and clean. Sound intrusion from the outside was kept to the minimum by double glazed windows but sound proofing within the neighbouring unit was just average. The bed and the sofa bed were acceptable with clean beddings. The kitchen though small was very well equipped and had all the necessary utensils. The microwave and stove provided was working well. The unit also came with cereals which was a lovely gesture from the host. However some milk would have made it perfect. Nevertheless, Woolworths is just a stone’s throw away! The bathtub is a bit small if you are big sized and extra care needs to be taken while going in and exiting. Otherwise the bathroom was clean and functional with both hot and cold water.

Only major issue I have is the noise from the portable aircon which is pretty loud. We were fortunate that the night temperature was cool and did without the aircon. The stand fan that was available also came in handy for the night

Honestly..everything you would want on your holiday. Sue was a good hostess and greeted us upon our arrival. She gave a very good tour of the place and good instructions.

The pots and pans were abit worn out and rusty. We used the only pan that was in a better shape. Other than that, everything was exceptional!
