Beach Club Palm Cove 2 Bedroom Luxury Penthouse

It was a brilliant apartment great size and clean and tidy real lux

Dishwasher didn’t seem to work and the master bedroom sink seemed a little loose not sure if the owner needs to know or if they already do

Location, view from balcony was great (looking over pool), size of unit suited our family of 4 perfect, well equipped unit

Cleanliness- floors felt sandy, cockroaches everywhere (some dead some Alive), host said that the place had recently been sprayed. Roof top area was very dirty so didn’t use this area at all

The penthouse was clean and had everything we needed. It had a beautiful view overlooking the resort pool with a spa on the veranda along with an additional roof top spa!

We couldn’t fault anything, we were very happy.

Rooms were comfortable, swimming pools are excellent- though floatation devices a must for kids who aren't strong swimmers! Both pools have steep drops to 1.8/2m deep.

Disappointed with room fixtures not working- dryer was not working, microwave is so old/worn there are no markings on any buttons. Air conditioner remote doesn't work. WiFi is intermittent. We paid a premium for a penthouse roof deck, with a BBQ that couldn't be used as it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, a jacuzzi that smelled of mildew & was overdue for cleaning (warnings came up on the screen when it turned on) and an outdoor sofa with mouldy cushions.

Cockroaches.

Great location and facilities. Plenty of restaurants close by and the beach right across the road. Also walked straight outside to the Sunday markets. The pool is the best by far especially with the swim up bar, although they could do with more staff particularly when the bar first opens because everyone wants to order cocktails as soon as they open haha

Overall the resort was amazing but I booked a private apartment so inside the apartment itself wasn’t to the standard I expected. I arrived late at night and the bed configuration I had requested hadn’t been organised. The floor was slippery from fine sand/dirt and my 81 year old mum was slipping, so I had to vacuum on the first day of my holiday and some surfaces were dusty so it’s clear it hadn’t been cleaned on arrival day. The rooftop spa wasn’t working, which I wasn’t told about until arrival day and there was no compensation for that. The balcony spa bath was dirty and leaked, so I only used that once. There were cockroaches crawling around at night and lots of dust in the air conditioner and under the bed. Some fittings were also broken (bathroom door and wardrobe handle) It would have been nice to be told there are 3 flights of stairs and no porter service as well (porter service is available if you book direct through the resort) Lucky my mum can handle the stairs but I had to carry all the bags myself, so did a few trips up and down the stairs at 11:00pm. Next time, I think I’ll book direct with the resort or do my research on particular apartments if I go private again.

The pool was beautiful. The pool bar’s selection of music was great and wasn’t on too late but it have a great daytime vibe. plenty of sun beds. the penthouse we stayed in was huge and had a private terrace with its own spa.
