Beach Club Palm Cove 2 Bedroom Luxury Penthouse

The location of the property was great and the view from apartment overlooking the pool was good, large apartment. Showers were also good. The one pool (1/3) that was open was great.

1) Main bedroom AC split system hardly working, made sleep uncomfortable 2) having to navigate x4 flights of stairs to get up and down from the apartment with all our suitcases, pram, bassinet with a baby and pregnant wife, if we knew this we wouldn’t have booked this! 3) Spa unusable (way too hot 39 deg) and wouldn’t drop in temp 4) Coffee machine milk frother didn’t work so was unable to have coffee 5) Lounge very dirty, needs a dry clean (had to put blanket on it to sit), 6) Beds very uncomfortable (had large indents on each side so old mattresses all very uncomfortable. Wouldn’t book this again!!!

Location was ideal. Palm Cove was picturesque and peaceful. Lagoon pool with sandy beach and Rainforest lagoon pool were amazing and cocktails at the pool bar was a plus. The lush gardens surrounding the buildings was an absolute pleasure to walk through, spotting all the different flora amongst the greenery. Accomodation and fully equipped kitchen were great though for the price paid was expecting something more 'fresh'. The convenience of the laundry was perfect for our seven day stay and the little extras such as the capsule coffee machine ... with a surplus of pods;) ...was a pleasant surprise! Also some good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

Unfortunately there was some noise from the upgrade works to the front pool though realise this is neccesary for improvements to take place.

This property is in series need of some TLC. The floors were sandy and dirty when we arrived the kitchen bench was dirty! The rooftop spa area has had appliances removed and not painted and the lights up there are faulty and flashing on and off!! So impossible to cook a bbq!! The fan in the main ensuite is thick with dust so therefor cannot be of any use!!! There is a power point in the second bathroom which is actually hanging off the wall very dangerous as it is next to the sink, and the fridge cabinet in the main bedroom which has a glass top is chipped and as didn’t lift my arm high enough I cut my arm!!! All of this with the fact that there is no designated car park for the apartment and we had to ask at reception after driving around for ages in car park 5 to find out the car park for building 4 is in car park 6!!! Not just around the corner as the map states!!! This should have been advised!!! Also the tap in the kitchen actually comes off in your hand!!! The photos attached are not in the correct order but the only way I could do it as there so many issues!!! See attached photos

The pool and the private jacuzzi on the roof

Cobwebs in the corner of rooms(see picture) Some cockroaches were found throughout and we couldn’t unpack as the drawers in the main bedroom came off when we tried to open them. The bathroom mirror was held up by packers (see picture) The air conditioner in the main bedroom has not been cleaned and was barely working. I had to pull the filters out to vacuum them to get any air to come out (see picture)

The most amazing place to stay with our family. We loved the location overlooking the pool. The bath on the balcony and the jacuzzi and bbq area on the top floor was brilliant. Wish we were still laying by the sand pool ❤️

Awesome location, super clean property lots of room for a family of 4. Loved having a washer and dryer, towels provided.

Roof top spa wasn’t working. It was on but the screen doesn’t work so couldn’t turn the jets on. Bit disappointing as I booked for this reason. Wasn’t offered a discount or anything. Baby cockroaches everywhere. Main bed mattress needs replacing as it’s sinking in lots of places and uncomfortable. Hubby slept in the single bed in the other room.
