Lovely Studio w Full Kitchen in Heart of San Diego

The property is nice inside clean and all.

The staff are policing guests as if we kids,they monitor who you inviting over.They don’t even want anyone to come in and say hello.Management looks sketchy.They refuse to issue refunds to guests even when you have good grounds for it.You can’t have anyone visit you.The noise from aircraft above and noises when people walk within the property is very loud.Do not stay here if you plan on enjoying your trip in San Diego.I don’t recommend

Everything was very clean and well kept and various amenity essentials were provided, i.e. dish machine detergent, paper towels, coffee, ironing board, etc. Loved how close it was to Balboa Park, Little Italy, and rest of downtown. Was nervous about being under the flight path of SAN, but the soundproofing materials used on the building were legit..

I liked everything except for the heavy feet of those who lived directly above me. Not really the facility's fault. So that's really just a nitpick. And I think a refresh on the TV would be a nice touch. This is also kind of a nitpick;)

the area had a lot of homeless people. it was noisy. I could hear the neighboring apartments too much.

I loved that we could cook in the kitchen. There were just enough plates and bowls etc for our little family of 3. The toaster and coffee machine were well utilized! They supplied toothbrushes and mini Toothpaste as well as bottled water which was a great little touch we weren't expecting. There is a pull out bed under the double bed which was perfect for our son. It was easy to put away when not in use. It has a great array of TV app options for the kids and adults. In the evenings we always found something to watch. The location was close to some great restaurants (little italy) a short 15/20min walk to the waterfront and an entrance to balboa park was right across the street. It was a very secure building. Three difference systems to get into the apartment. Some people may have found this tedious however we loved the safety aspect with a small child and being in an unfamiliar place.

If you struggle with noise it can be a noisy place to stay. They offer ear plugs which is very kind, due to the planes that take off (very low) overhead. This never bothered us though and we didn't use them as for us, it wasn't an issue. The upstairs guests could be heard on the staircase - not a deal breaker for us but important to know if noisier locations don't work for you. The shower water takes 5mins to heat up so you need to run it for a while before jumping in. I would have loved a broom or brush and shovel in the apartment to be able to clean as we went. Maybe something you could add in the future :)

cheap construction, noise from upstairs. planes come in for landing directly overhead. they supplied ear plugs. did not remember them disclosing the airport noise. not that bad unless you go to bed really early. the planes pretty much stop by midnight
