Amazing place , outside space you have to play !, we used it all , hot tub was brilliant , plus Daisy the golf buggy ! And Trisha the host was super lovely 😀😀😀😀 highly recommend!

Fantastic views, really private, have stayed many times and love to come back.

Beautiful, peaceful and quiet location - taking in the stunning views across the Exe. Accommodation is slightly away from other properties including the owners, so felt secluded. Tricia provided a bounty of food gifts including Devon tea upon arrival and had plenty of local knowledge too. She checked in with me in person on first day to make sure I had everything I needed. She also unobtrusively messaged a couple of times during my visit to make sure all was well - which it absolutely was. Travelling alone I felt very relaxed and safe in the former orchard - with gated access and exclusive use of a Daisy May, my trusty golf buggy to ferry things up and down from the drive. I could come and go as I liked - heaven! The eco-friendly hot-tub really added to the trip. I sat in it without bubbles on (reducing noise) and could have listened to the birdsong, watched Percy the pheasant and his harem of wives mooch about all day, every day! I really didn’t want to leave.

Gas fire controls in living space were a little fiddly but once I got the knack of it I managed. Tricia the owner was on hand to show me how to operate and wasn’t needed again once I’d mastered. The accommodation feels dated and showed signs of age and wear and tear. Both bathroom and kitchen spaces were suitably clean and presentable and the general wear and tear didn’t stop me enjoying my stay at all. Tricia mentioned extending the caravan at some stage, which would be good to afford a wider external view of the surroundings than current window placement affords. However, in summer months who’d be sitting inside? With temperamental British weather during early Spring, I snuggled up on occasion in front of the toasty fire but was facing away from the views. Phone signal was a bit patchy but manageable for me as I was ‘getting away’. No wi-fi at all which wasn’t an issue as I read a lot and made the most of the hot-tub and surroundings. Would have been the cherry on the top of an evening, to use the streaming enabled TV so I opted to watch good old Film4 instead when the weather was more inclement. A couple of small baking trays for the oven would have been really useful - but I used the quiche/flan dishes available, as only me. None of the things above were deal breakers and really didn’t distract from the most relaxing time I had there. Thank you Tricia - you were a wonderful host!

A wonderful place, very peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic view from hot tub. The host is a lovely lady, always helpful. We’d be happy to return to this place.
