Cozy Guest Suite in Quiet Home with Private Entry

Perfect place and friendly owners. There were everything we need. Recommend this place.

You may wonder why does this place has so high rating. That's because when host understands that review would be bad - he cancels your booking as 'no show' which still allows him to take your money, but you cannot leave a review. I was able to leave this review only after talk with booking com support.

'Cozy Guest Suite in Quiet Home with Private Entry' means basement without daylight. Description says 'ground floor' but you will live in a basement under that fancy house on description photos. Host didn't make photos of basement entry where you would live so I did. There are also photos of washing machine and description says it is int the unit. Well, that's also a lie. "It is not a laundromat here. Those are for 'long-term guest only' " - host told me. But he is "so kind" that could let you access washing machine in case you'll schedule date and time in advance. Basement does not have sound isolation. You will hear how hosts walk, how they turn on water, move their chairs. There is also another basement for rent behind the wall. You'll hear what they are talking about, when they use washing machine (the one promised for you), when they finished washing and start drying. Unfortunately booking com does not allow to attach videos, but sound is very loud. Coffee/tea maker in description is nothing else as cheap french press. Linens and towels are very old and frayed. Literally same quality if lining and towels are used by homeless in downtown. Remember all above is for over 100 USD per night. I've left after 2 nights (rented for 4) and booked a nice hotel with new linings and a pool in city downtown for 120 USD per night. Lost lot of money but at least spent rest of my vacation with good sleep and seeing daylight. I would recommend everyone to avoid this place and this host.

The privacy was good, Matthew was available if required and checked all was ok a couple of times which was good, will definitely look for this property again when visiting Vancouver

Very clean and comfortable to stay. Quiet and you feel safe in and out.

Very pleasant stay and host who tried to be helpful with every request. The small private apartment contained everything needed even for a stay longer than one week. Very good quality to price ratio.

Occasionally went to hear guests in the next apartment but nothing more.

Matthew and Emma were amazing. I greatly enjoyed my stay there, instructions were very clear, the accommodation was very nice, bed was comfortable, the kitchen although small, served me perfectly, bathroom was great and location-wise it was a walkable distance to grocery store, pharmacy, restaurant and for further destinations, public transportation was also very accessible. I would definitely come back to stay with them again, I have no complaints.

The side door was a bit loud, so I was concerned to wake them up whenever I was back during the night.
