The Emerald Suite, Birmingham

I have stayed here before so was not put off by reviews and there is no sign of damp or mould so had that been an issue it was fixed. The place is clean, has everything I need, location is great parking right outside and for me everything great

That it was self contained with no shared facilities or entrance

Black mould in wardrobe / store cupboard. Water coming through ceiling and fridge freezer broke down during stay and U lost al my food . Had to leave after a week and book into a hotel. Six days laters in still waiting for a response from customer services. Local manager is slow to respond and I could never get them on the phone. Details in welcome pack contradicted one to one message.

clean and well stocked kitchen, bed comfy had a good nights sleep shower worked well. free parking right outside of room. small tescos a short walk . close to where our son is in uni.

was asked to take out bins and go threw a locked gate , it was raining so ended up putting in boot of car and disposed of myself. no table to eat on

The location was ideal.

We had been given steps to take when leaving the property- emptying bins and taking to courtyard( which we were happy with) stripping bed (which we normally do when leaving hotel/air B&B) but when we stripped the bed, I was horrified that I’d slept in such filth!!!!! Do not expect a mattress in an air B&B to be soiled. I have photos.

Quite large. Good kitchen, bathroom facilities.

Pretty rundown - certainly needs a lick of paint. Only one window partially opens. Curtains/blinds needs some thought for privacy's sake.

The property needs a little bit of love and attention It was cold even though there is a radiator in the bathroom and the living area
