Location was unbelievable. Right beside Loch Linnhe. Beautiful views and large windows to see the view. Excellent host, very clear instructions about everything. Easy access. Small fault with shower fixed very quickly. Excellent broadband, TV and heating. Lots of thoughtful things like adapter strips for power, many guidebooks, kitchen consumables, rack for stuff in bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Space to sit outside beside the loch. New carpet in lounge.

Hot water only warm. Layout was a little tricky with kitchen separated from main lounge. Shower was Ok.

"Magical place in a magical location."

This is my favourite part of the West Coast and the cottage is in the heart of the village but secluded too. It’s full of character, comfortable, clean and stocked with wonderful books and maps. The owners were friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful location with superb panorama overlooking Loch Linnhe. Old house with the oldest parts dating back to 1770 with cosy atmosphere. Quiet location, nevertheless a shop and a restaurant nearby. Equipment and state of the house ok. Wifi excellent, what is necessary, for there is no mobil phone coverage in the area.

Maybe because of the age of the house it was always a little cold and dump inside, as if the house wouldn't have been used for quite a time. Of course I know it was high season, but nevertheless the price was not exactly a bargain...

"Superb"

Excellent location within walking distance of the Lismore foot ferry and two superb restaurants. The view from the sun room over the Lynn of Lorne towards Lismore and beyond over Loch Linnhe to the mountains is stunning with the view changing by the minute with the weather. For sailing it’s a 10 minute drive to the friendly Linnhe Marina in Appin. The accommodation at the Old Ferryhouse is spacious and comfortable. Ideally another loo would be perfect, subject to practicability. Plenty of reassuring WhatsApp messages from the host. A slight disadvantage from our point of view with family only available over a weekend is having to book Saturday to Saturday.
