An English Gem near Union Station

The property is simple, but comfortable, clean and spacious. The property is located in a nice mostly residential neighborhood that still has a little grit and lacks the trendiness of others in the city, in good way. It still has a coffee shop, restaurants and frequent bus transit service to downtown - the nearest stop <1-block away.

There was nothing I disliked. Just know that it’s a no-frills apartment.

The location was very close to the convention center by walking and bus. The Wi-Fi was free and fast. The host was responsive. The apartment was clean. Some toiletries were provided. The no-key door lock was convenient. Plenty of dishes available in the kitchen.

Noisy from the upstairs neighbors parties, and loud furnace in the main bedroom. Host gave wrong key code and had to be reminded to return the deposit. Kitchen and bathroom are in need of refurbishment. Not enough sitting area for three people.

I like the fact that it was a kitchen to cook

I didn't like the fact there wasn't no TV in the house and I didn't like the fact I was being watched on camera,

Very comfortable bed. Very tidy.

There was no TV, but we just used our phones to watch things.

Quite central - 30 minutes away on foot from the subway station. Pretty area.

Bedrooms are sparsely furnished. We were a group of 5, and booked ourselves as such, but only two beds were prepared. This meant having to look for sofa beds and sheets ourselves, after a long 24-hour international journey. The owner asks for a security deposit of $100 and says that there will be extra charges by PayPal. I cannot see that I paid extra charges, and only received $95 back. I’m sure I won’t miss $5 but it does make one think… The security deposit is not mentioned on the listing. I also did not appreciate the several reminders that we will be fined for late check out (per half hour, and in the middle of a hurricane warning too), for not taking out the trash, for not clearing away the sofa beds etc.

Well there is not much, the A/C was cold, however it was locked at 68f and we wasn’t able to unlock it

This is basement unit, cheapest and old furniture, place has no character and feels like a student dorm, there is no style or thinking just bunch of furniture on empty basement. Quin size bed is super unstable and squeaky. The fire alarm was making bio sound trough out the stay and wasn’t checked. Kitchen doesn’t have base things only couple dirty pans from 80s This is Washington and I think parking permit should be included in the price. It’s 25$ additional really? Also, aside from booking fees and charges we was required to send Zelle or Venmo $100 as security deposit…. Yeah, there is totally $100 worth of shitty stuff inside After all we figured that motel 6 for $60 would be better option… so decide for yourself. Hope the owner will put some love into this place and make it a hidden gem… but it’s a lot of work to do…
