Townfoot Byre, Troutbeck - E.V friendly

The property was beautiful and spotlessly clean. It has a lovely cottage feel and much better than staying in a hotel room. It is only a couple of miles from all the shops, bars, restaurants etc in Windermere but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the absolutely stunning countryside. The views from the property were spectacular. The hosts had stocked up on all the basics so we could put the kettle on immediately when we arrived and we could have some toast and a cuppa early in the morning. This property was so much cheaper than staying in the centre of Windermere so when we wanted to go out and have a few drinks we didn’t mind paying for a taxi (which was surprisingly easy to book). Any questions we had the host answered immediately and they were extremely accommodating. I would 100% recommend anyone looking for accommodation in Windermere to give this place a try.

Very easy booking system and updates from Alun with regards to our stay. The location is fabulous, a short drive from the large tourist areas meant that the property was much quieter. The room was clean and comfortable and we particularly liked the unique and quirky charm of the building. We would definitely stay again.
