Townfoot Byre, Troutbeck - E.V friendly

Had a lovely two night stay for my Husband's 50th. Cosy little cottage, just perfect for two people. We arrived a bit earlier than I had said we would be arriving, but the owner Alun let us check in early, which was amazing. The downloadable Townfoot byre information from Alun, with all the info on was great to have on your phone, which made the information from checking in, to departing, and even local walks easy to access. The spa was an added bonus. Just a short drive to the complex. It's a little outdated as in, changing rooms, showers, but it had everything we needed and the pool and spa was lovely. 😊 The cottage had everything you need for your stay. Well stocked continental breakfast package. The king size bed was so comfortable, the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The views are amazing especially from the bathroom window. It's so peaceful and tranquil. If you're after a nice quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life this is the place to stay. Nice walks to go on in the surrounding area. The location is perfect and in the middle of Windermere town and Ambelside town, which is a short drive to reach both destinations. Had such a l ovely weekend away.

Lack of a second pillow ,also because it had been raining very heavily the drain smell was potent ,especially in the bathroom .

Very clean when we arrived, the bed was super comfortable.

Beautiful, quiet location but with everything only a short car journey away. The perfect setting for a few days away from the day-to-day noise of life! Came back feeling recharged.

Property was spotless on arrival. Owner was lovely and let us check in earlier due to our arrival time. Constant updates with what was going on with the power cut. Wasn’t left once without anything. Everything was exceptional, lovely place to stay would definitely come again.

Lovely remote location nestled in the hills but close to Ambleside and for exploring the Lakes. Cleverly laid out inside to make the most of the space, tastefully decorated and cozy. Cereal, milk and coffee pods provided.

The reverse parking uphill was stressful, especially at night as no lighting to make visibility easier.

Easy location, lovely pubs nearby and very accessible.

Super location. Breakfast was sufficient for our needs. The place was very clean and comfortable. Our host was great in communicating with us and was very accommodating regarding parking.lovely modern bathroom that was lovely and warm!

The stairs to the bathroom would be difficult for someone with limited mobility

Lovely location, comfortable quiet place to stay. Very clean, with lovely hosts - available but not intrusive. Thoughtful instructions included for how to use things in the property.

Pretty steep stairs up to the bathroom so not great for people with mobility issues but they are definitely full of character!
