Bowness Bay View

Brilliant location, loved the apartment, which was very clean and looked new, and thanks so much for the biscuits. It was nice that we didn't use the car once during our stay as everything we needed was right on our doorstep.

The only thing letting the apartment down was the heating. It kept us all awake at night with its constant clicking and clunking, and it was absolutely freezing in the evenings, especially the kitchen and bathroom where there was no heating and the heater in the living room.wasnt on all the time either. The kids lived in their room in the evenings as they were warmer in there. We said that we would definitely stay again but not in the winter months.

A taxi in front street car park sat with engine on and taking to someone from 3-7am Sunday morning

The apartment was very cosy, warm and welcoming and was excellent value for money. Its location was very convenient for access to Lake Windermere, The World of Beatrix Potter, the shops, pubs, a supermarket and various restaurants and eateries. The bus stop to the train station is only a stone throw away from Bay View on the main street. Everything we wanted to see/do was on the doorstep and within walking distance. The apartment was clean and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. When we arrived into Windermere by train we walked to Bay View apartment, through choice. The apartment is 2 miles from the Train Station. There are buses and taxis available if needed. Communication with the host Andrew was efficient, helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this apartment.

Apartment was clean spacious warm and cosy, village was stone throw away, lakes 10 min walk, lots of restaurants pubs shops etc, co op just round corner , tesco 10 min walk. We really could not have asked for anything more, the host was exceptionally helpful , we will definatly be booking again we have had a fantastic time Thank you andrew and kate x
