RELAXING 3 BR WITH FREE PARKING AT THE SEQUOIA

The apartment was quite nice and certainly big enough for a family of 5. Not a big deal, but we received a welcome message saying there would be a bottle of wine and an instruction guide when we arrived but neither were there.

Unfortunately, we failed to realise that this is not a very safe part of town. We had 3 young children with us and felt very uneasy walking to and from the metro, especially after dark. I noted that the details on the website suggested checking out the night life in the U street corridor. We unfortunately ended up in this part of town after going out for dinner and had quite a scary experience of being followed and attempted pickpocketing. I discover later that 1 in 10 tourist experience crime in the U Street corridor so would definitely NOT suggest going there.

Lots of very comfy furniture, the kitchen had everything a person would need from spices to bowls. The snacks and drinks were a nice touch :) I really liked the lock system as well, I felt safe and secure there. The location was fantastic, super close to the bus stop and metro.

I wish the bedrooms had blackout curtains because streetlights lit up the rooms at night. One of the bedrooms we couldn't sleep in (the one with the balcony) because the screen outside the door was making a constant knocking noise on the door from the outside because of the wind. Maybe that could be secured somehow, so the wind doesn't impact that screen and cause it to make noise :)

The host was very kind and attentive, she even let us store our luggage for a few hours hence we arrived before the check-in time and reserved a parking spot for us. It's a three-bedroom, two full bathrooms apartment. It was very comfortable for our family. The neighborhood is nice and there is a gas station one block away where we could purchase essentials. The subway station is a 5 - 10 min walk

Nothing to do with the accommodations, just as a side note: There were always a number of shady characters next to the subway station entrance. I'd avoid it late at night.

The street it’s on is lovely but the corner is a different world. Heavy police presence in the area but I still didn’t want to walk around at night.

It was a great place to stay. perfect size for us. The host was extremely nice and helpful. We would stay again. Close to public transportation

beds are hard. could be softer,.

the decor was really nice, along with the complimentaries. the apartment was pretty close to everything, and it felt really nice and cozy.

Thel beds were a bit too firm. Not really many complaints.
