Flat 4, 10 St John's

Location is outstanding, 5 minutes to boscombe beach and pier and 5 minutes to pubs, shops and takeaways. Very comfortable and clean and was very good value for money. To make it perfect a couple of extras would be good - mirror in bathroom and small storage cupboard for clothes. Also instructions for hob - we could switch it on but couldn't get it to heat up. But very good holiday let overall.

Internet is shocking

Didn’t feel secure as the back door to the hallway was kept constantly wide open so anyone could walk in. I needed Wi-Fi to work remotely but it only connected in one corner of the room which made it not possible to do my job. It was also intermittent in this one corner so that didn’t even work well. The tv also didn’t work because the Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect to it. If I knew the Wi-Fi was poor / not working I would have stayed somewhere else. If I didn’t need Wi-Fi it would have been a good stay. Sadly I did need it so ended up working from a cafe as where room 4 is located didn’t have mobile signal for 3 network so couldn’t hot spot either. again only if I stood in one corner of the room did I get my mobile signal. I complained about the Wi-Fi and they told me it works for 22 other people in the building.. as if to say I was the problem.

The location was good. Close to the beach and pier. Heating was excellent.

This is an honest bit of feedback. Not being mean. The cost reflects the size, bear this in mind. It’s fine for a short stay but walls are very thin, so expect to be up when people go to work. Parking is hit and Miss, very busy road. There were no mugs, I’ve bought two and left them there, you’re welcome. The step down from the gate could do with sorting as it’s a bit sketchy for someone with mobility problems and the step up to the outer door is damaged and could do with some tlc. The outer door sticks and is difficult to open / close which means people bang it when arriving / leaving. People looking in to the room if you leave the blind up so maybe some privacy glass? The fan in the toilet/shower didn’t work. A dustpan and brush to keep floor clean would be a good addition. The tv would have also been a good addition if it worked, WiFi was non existent so couldn’t watch anything.
