Flat 4, 10 St John's

The property is not as described and the bed sheets are dirty. We contacted the property owner they said to send them pictures, we did, and they didn't reply to us and we sent several messages. There is no coffee machine as stated in the description which is very disappointing. There is no instruction for the use of cooker. We had to go to a laundromat and wash and dry the dirty sheets ourselves just to be able to sleep there as the property owners did not respond to us or even try to help us with the matter. We was very tired after the day travelling and then we had to sit in the laundromat for a long time waiting for the sheets to be cleaned it is very unfair! The back gate is also meant to coded for our own safety and protection but it is wedged open and so is the door to the communal area of the property, we have been made to feel very uncomfortable and unsafe and we are very unhappy with this booking.

The area was not clean. Smoking outside of the flat and cigarette buds in front of the flat. The area felt very insecure especially as the entrance was via the back of the house. We felt we were not able to stay due.

We loved the layout and decor. The fact it's a code on the door so no need to keep remembering a key or card etc. The shower was also nice!

The fact there wasn't any net curtains, it was lovely hot weather so we needed the window to be open but you felt very exposed.

Short walk to beach

Our primary issue: Advert says free WiFi and free private parking, yet the WiFi broke on day 1 (of 6) and was never fixed, and on numerous occasions, we were unable to park at the property. We sent a message about the broken WiFi and about a broken extractor fan - they promised to fix this but never did and actually just stopped replying. Other issues: - Walls so thin I was kept awake by other guests talking or watching TV (not loudly, just you could hear everything) - The outside gates/doors were always propped open, so I never felt safe. - The blind was broken, so never lay flush to the window, so people walking through the (unlocked) outdoor area (which guests had to walk through to their own rooms) could always see into the room. - The bathroom door didn't shut, and the light was on a sensor, so you couldn't switch it off or block it with the door after it was used at night. - There was no mirror in the bathroom - there is one in the living room, but it's not useful for getting ready as it is above the couch. - There was no terrestrial TV signal, and we couldn't watch catch-up due to the broken WiFi. - On arrival, we found it hard to find the room with no guidance on where to go. - When we arrived, there were old items remaining in the fridge, indicating it hadn't been thoroughly checked, though cleanliness wasn't a major issue otherwise. Almost all of these issues have been noted by previous guests in other reviews, indicating that management has no interest in making improvements.
