"Bucklands"

6.0

Lovely location and a very reasonable price. The chalet was comfortable. Plenty of bedding was provided and kitchen equipment.

The furniture felt damp and there was damp smell in the kitchen. Some kitchen equipment was dirty and needed cleaning befoe use. The mattess in the double room. could do with being replaced as it was very creaky however we slept okay. We needed to grease the squeaky doors so not to wake everyone in the night.

Communicate via the owner very good and stress free. Great value for money. The children loved it. I liked that we could park the trailor next to chalet and it was safe. Parking was good. Chalet had everything we needed and more.

Chalet smelt of damp could not sleep in main bedroom as had a very strong smell of cigarettes that exasperated my wife's asthma to the point she was coughing all night bed was too hard for me so I ended sleeping on the sofa which has made my back pain flair up again. Disappointed that bedding wasn't provided as this is a basic amenity and more to bring with us.

"A rather tired chalet on a campsite near Clovelly, bedding is extra, there no wifi."

3.0

Few places to stay around here for SW coast path, this was one and not expensive. Well equipped kitchen. Surprisingly nice meal in the campsite bar.

No hot water. TV did not work. No Wifi. £15.95 extra for bedding and towels although this is not made clear in the listing. Much misleading information online about the property - for example listing has private pool (there is not; there is a campsite public pool you pay for); "Featuring a terrace with garden views" (there is no terrace and no garden - the night picture with the terrace is not this property), flat screen TV with satellite channels (it is not - and it didn't work, sound but no picture), breakfast (this is not provided, you can buy one in the campsite bar 5 minutes walk away). "The holiday park is next to the beautiful fishing village of Clovelly" - in fact it is 3.4 miles by road, slightly less along the coast path, and Clovelly charges £10.95 entry fee.

"Nice cosy 60,s chalet , clean and comfy ."

8.0

The chalet was very cosy and took us back to the sixty’s , we enjoyed being there and especially that we could park right by it , it was clean , everything was explained to us even down to the tv to turn it on and off if we couldn’t get a picture .

No hot water so had to boil kettles to wash up , although the shower worked perfectly.
