Holualoa Gardens 101

Within walking distance to several beaches. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed. Had AC and fans in every room which helped keep things cool. Liked that it had beach gear for me to use.

It could get a little noisy with the windows open, but that’s to be expected in a crowded area.

Great location really close to the ocean. Easy driving access to Keauhau. Property was nicely decorated and the little details like beach towels were an added plus. Free parking. Good option if you're budget conscious. Snorkel gear provided but we didn't get to use due to the rough waves.

They didn't tell us about ongoing renovations to the exterior which were very noisy and inconvenient. Especially when they painted the corridor walkway on our last day and blocked off the stairs. Also, they ask you to leave off the A/C when you're not there. Which means when you get back to the apartment at the end of the day, the enclosed lanai is sweltering hot. The A/C in the main bedroom worked much better.

Great location and for the most part very quiet. Across the street and a not far south is a small and basically secluded beach; a few surfers were there every day. The duel split a/c units were flawless and cooled the unit very quickly. The bed was perfect - we had no back pain in the mornings. That was worth a million bucks to experience. The unit came with several power strips with a/c and usb plugs (a nice touch). The beach chairs were appreciated. The units description was as listed. Rental agent contacted us twice to make sure all was ok and was going to refurbish spent consumerable goods.

The building maintainance is poor! the carpeting on the 1st floor landing is worn out and torn beyond repair. The condo alongside ours had a dozen shoes lined up against the wall in the hallway. There was a car, stall 302 i believe, filled with trash which never moved! If the unit wasnt refurbished we would not have stayed.

The apartment is in a very good location, not very close to Kona, but in 10 minutes driving distance. It is close to one sand beach to play with the waves (5 mins) and one beach park that is good for snorkeling (10 mins). There is also a small pool to cover the whole spectrum of swimming needs. The snorkeling equipment was highly appreciated. Moreover, that place is recently renovated so it gives the feeling of clean and new. Last but not least, I LOVED the bed...

The only thing I found that could be improved is the kitchen equipment cleaning. It could have been a little more thorough. In any case everything was fine...

A/C was a definite requirement and it worked well. The location was very convenient for us, located near other family and the wedding venue. Very neat and clean when we arrived, and things like snorkeling gear is a very nice touch. The appliances we used all worked, although the toaster is a bit dated.

It was disconcerting hearing water flowing behind the bathroom walls when people upstairs flushed or showered. There was ?dirty? laundry in the unit when we arrived and cleaning staff came in to retrieve it after we had checked in. There were some dishes that had been washed, but were not clean. Took some scrubbing but we got them cleaned up.

Conveniently located & door code access. Many nice touches like washer/dryer, beach towels, snorkeling gear, ice cooler. Nicely decorated & furnished.
