Cranwell Court Seaview Rooms and Apartments

The view and location

The location of this property couldn’t be better. Staff were super friendly, communication was excellent and the apartment was spacious and really well equipped. We had a sea view from our shared lounge and Mountain View from our bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to be self sufficient, and was spotlessly clean. The property was excellent value for money and I hope to stay again.

Nothing really, some of the decor is a little tired but this is reflected in the price and it was all very clean.

The sea view was marred by the fact that the windows were dirty and that there was scaffolding up, which we were unaware of when booking.

Very small room at rear of property, no sea view. Shabby, cheap decor, over-priced & not good value for money. Advertising as "seaview rooms" is misleading

The locks to your own room are dodgy and sometimes they auto lock and sometimes don't - this wasn't mentioned by the host. I went to go get some tea at around 11pm at the shared kitchen but when I went to go back to my room I was locked out. No one was picking up the phone and there was no out of hours number for customers so I had to sleep in the shared lounge and call the hotel in the morning to let me in. I asked the host why she didn't mention the auto locks and she told me the kitchen was like that (which it isn't, you don't get keys to the kitchen) I asked if they had an out of hours number to which she replied that I needed to make sure I kept my keys on me because other guests were checking in that day. I thought it was a bit rude and if something had happened to me they would have been liable considering this is a safety hazard. Misc: The window in the toilet is very dirty with cobwebs and spiders everywhere - it's not cleaned just covered with a mesh curtain. For what you got, it wasn't worth the price.
