Cranwell Court Seaview Rooms and Apartments

You couldn't get a much better location in Aber. Right on the sea front and close to all the shops and restaurants. The kitchen had enough space and facilities to use effectively.

The property was a bit tired. The master bathroom shower leaked and was very cramped. The kitchen had most things but we had to buy our own washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. It would have been a nice touch to have a pint of milk. The parking spot provided a bit difficult to get into.

The location right on the front was fantastic. Spacious apartment, lovely and clean and homely. Great to have a parking space but it is a little tight. There is a nearby car park called North Road Clinic car park which is very handy if needed for a second car

There needs to be better directions for finding the property on Booking.com The apartment is located at the top of the Helmsman Guesthouse, I was only pre-warned about this by another review which made it easier. Even so clearer directions would have been helpful. Both the toilet seats in the two bathrooms are very loose so these need attention please!!

1. The shower basket in the ensuite bathroom of the master bedroom is rusty and needs replacing 2. There was a shower room/toilet off the sitting room which had a sign on it saying do not use. Without the door being kept shut and the window in the room left open there was an unpleasant smell from the shower room. This needs attending to a.s.a.p. 3. More drawer space needed

Finding it once you had collected the keys from the hotel they should be a little sign above the key box’s saying to go into the hotel to the top floor as we spent a hour looking for the sea view apartment we found the ones at back but had no idea the sea view one was in the hotel under a different name a small notice would have stopped the stress we had

Position, amenities, staff. Lovely homely but class, and comfortable home. Beautiful views from the windows. Loved staying here.

The location was exceptional. Could not be better I guess.

The property was advertised as child friendly ( in particular it states that children of all ages are welcome). NOT TRUE at all. We were staying in the top apartment. As you enter in the property there were steep stairs and immediately a landing with one bedroom door. In addition there was one piece of heavy wood over the stairs that was not secure in the wall (the latch was broken) that could easily fell on someone's head while climbing the stairs (quite dangerous may i say). All the windows were opening from the bottom and the security wire was still leaving a wide gap to fit a big child inside. The windows, apart from the kitchen were very old and the locks were not working, so my daughter could easily lift them. We didn't spent enough time in the apartment but still I can't imagine how stressful it could be for an even younger experimenting toddler. For safety conserns this property on the second floor is not for children below the age of 5-6. The cleaning was not great either. Probably just a quick hoover and change of sheets, but that was all. The doors were all heavy with strong quick closing mechanism, so keep that in mind for kids. The doors could lock from the inside and not open from the outside, but if you do the mistake not unlock it before going out, you would be locked outside the bedroom, as no keys were around. There is a coffee maker an kettle and that's it (no actual complimentary capsules and sugar). You would expect more for the price. Finally the duvet and pillows were really old, as I could see when checked pillowcases and bedsheets. Need of replacing. The whole floor was creaking and sinking, but that is expected for a very old building. I sent my comments to the lady (not all that but my safety concerns) and I was only told that these will be taken into consideration in the future... what can I say to that...

I would have liked to have some basic kitchen supplies like paper towels, coffee, sugar. The floor in my friends’ bathroom was soft as if there was a water leak affecting the floor…it was soft.

beautiful apartment right on the sea front with fabulous views. The apartment is very spacious and beds are so comfortable. As it’s a 3rd floor apartment there are lots of stairs to climb.
