The room itself was fine.

Insufficient parking. However, the worst part (and the reason for a very poor review) was the smell of stale smoke. We initially thought the smell was from the open window to the guy smoking in the car park, but the smokey smell just wouldn't go. It was so strong that it gave us a headache and made it hard to sleep.

The apartment was a good size (excluding the bathroom). Washing machine included was a plus. Location was good for Huddersfield.

I had a lower ground apartment with narrow stairs so was difficult to get to and could not open blinds due to privacy. The apartment was full of spiders and little bugs/beetles. The shower was very small with really bad water pressure. Not sure an almost empty hand wash from tesco counts as "free toiletries". Wifi did not work in the living room for some reason. Clothes rack was damaged. "Kitchenware" included a couple of pots, two plates, two mugs, two forks/spoons/knives. No cooking utensils provided at all so cooking was almost impossible. There is a washing machine however no drier nor a drying rack so no where to dry clothes. Parking space is very limited and it's first come first served. You can only fit about 6 cars behind the building and if you don't arrive early enough you won't find a spot and there's no parking allowed next to the building. Your next best option is out on the main street which is also always full. The host did not send me check in details before arrival. I had to call when I arrived around 6 pm so if you don't have mobile service be prepared for this and message them in advance.
