Whitehaven

We stayed here as we were visiting Edinburgh for the rugby, and it had everything that we needed. The apartment is spotlessly clean and welcoming, and the beds are very comfortable. North Berwick is such a beautiful place, and the house is ideally situated, next to the golf course and in between the high street and the train station. A great place to stay.

This is a lovely, comfortable, warm & clean apartment. We felt like we were staying at a friend's home. We could just relax and put our feet up! Comfortable beds & pillows. Hot shower.

Would benefit from an exterior light at the side of the property, the pathway to the rear of the property is very dark.

Bathroom facilities were not good.

Fantastic location and spacious lounge, kitchen and main bedroom. Well equipped, with a few missing items that would have greatly improved our experience. Easy to park.

Cleanliness, particularly in kitchen was not top notch. Work surfaces were sticky, microwave had obviously been used, kitchen drainer was rusty. The place was missing little touches like tea cosy, toothbrush holder, adequate space for food storage. The bathroom and loos need an upgrade and the two toilets were both very small for a 6ft + person like my husband. There was no heated towel rail for towels and the bathroom radiator was inadequate. Several light bulbs had blown. There were things stuffed under the beds and in cupboards that should have been removed, like spare carpet, and bits of cupboard. The pillows were hard and mine had feather ends poking through. The central heating and hot water systems could not cope with the cold weather we experienced in the first couple of days of our stay. I could go on! It generally felt like a place that the owner had not lived in for a while, and thus hadn't picked up on. Not value for money, given all these issues.

The location was absolutely perfect - it had everything we needed and was wonderfully comfortable. It really enhanced our sense of contentment.
