Windsor Cottage on The Big "W" Ranch

It was lovely and clean, bed and sofa very comfy. Views were amazing.Definitely a wow.

It was so cold, my mum had layers upon layers trying to keep warm. No way of putting the heating on either

The cottage is finished to a particularly high standard and has amazing panoramic views across the dale. Absolutely superb.

Wi-fi poor which prevented us watching TV. However there’s plenty to do and we didn’t go away to watch the TV.

Lovely location up on the top of a hill with fabulous views over the valley and Wastwater, clean apartment with everything you need for self catering,comfy beds,no light pollution so the nighttime sky is amazing,beautiful horses in a field next to the private garden.

Beautiful view from top of the hill and superb location. We love our stay and will not hesitate to visit again or recommend.

Driving on access road was very challenging on the first day as we were late in evening and it is steep. Unable to use TV as it was difficult to set per instruction Or instruction was not complete.

The property was set in the hills so beautiful views-it’s an ideal spot to discover both the seaside and the mountains- we climbed Scafell Wasdale head starts really close to the cottage, there’s a fabulous lake walking distance where you can canoe. Today we visited Seascale where there’s a lovely beach.

I know the cottage is rural but the WI-FI wasn’t the best and it is advertised- we were disappointed last night when we were watching a film on Netflix half way through the internet connection went on the TV we tried rebooting etc but no good. Possibly a few games cards etc.
