Gorgeous lodge in rural location with a welcoming message, cake, juice and milk which was appreciated and a lovely gesture.

Lovely place to stay! Julie has thought of everything you could ever need and bakes a wonderful cake! Loads of wildlife in the garden, saw kingfishers, woodpeckers and rabbits ๐Ÿ˜

"Two days of blissful peace in an outstanding property."

Arrived to find a delicious home baked cake, as well as milk and juice in the fridge - a lovely touch and much appreciated. The place is spotless and the kitchen is very well equipped with utensils, pots etc. There was plenty of wood for the burner too. The views are stunning and it is just perfect peace and quiet with no-one else around. Lovely walks and the sunset was stunning. Plenty of games and books to enjoy - a wildlife book was helpful in identifying the birds around the feeders in the garden! Excellent shower too and comfy bed. It is only a short drive to Newton Stewart. Would highly recommend and would love to return for longer in the summer.
