The member of staff who greeted us on arrival at the premises was really welcoming and helpful, Very spacious bedroom with a useful kitchenette. Comfortable Bed, The room was also reasonably quiet despite being on a main road. The bathroom was definitely something else with the large walk in shower, which was excellent, a roll top bath and lots of space, some really nice features, very clean. would definitely stay again.

Not a dislike but the bathroom which looks very high quality had both door handles coming away, the tap block on the sink was moving around, the sink was partially blocked and took ages to empty. the lavatory handle was loose and was a challenge to make flush...such a shame because the bathroom looks stunning.. If these were fixed it would have definitely been top rated.

This was our second stay and the location was great for us. Staff pleasant. Large bathroom. Great to have a kitchenette. Good value for money. Liked the pub downstairs.

The rooms all need some TLC. The bathroom was large but tatty. There was a double shower but the flooring in the shower was grubby and needs to be replaced. The window blind was torn and old and rusty. The standard of the cleaning is generally below par. Lots of dust and just icky. The kitchen sink had a dirty old sponge to wash up with. The kettle was full of scale. None of the soaps or shampoos were refilled. Lucky I had my own. Three light bulbs had blown. Basic improvements and maintenance required. I was relieved to have bought my own pillow. Think management need to look at the standard of the cleaning.

Very easy check in and check out. The lady behind the bar who showed us to our room was brilliant but unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. Very comfortable bed and lovely bath in the bathroom. Very aesthetic as well and great value for money!

Getting in and out of the door leading into the rooms was a bit hard as the hinge of the door needs tightening up.

Staff were helpful. Convenient for a short stay.

The lack of privacy due to no curtain/ screen on the main window meant that pedestrians & passengers on double decker buses had a view in from the street below.

The staff were brilliant, allowing us to drop off our case and bags before check-in. When we returned to check-in, we were greeted by a lovely, helpful member of staff who showed us to our room with the keys. The member of staff who originally took our bags also mentioned that she had already taken them (and heavy case) to our rooms, which was much appreciated. The room was very nice, with kitchen area in bedroom, a small wardrobe area and a huge bathroom with roll-top bath and spacious shower. I really appreciated the ample shelving to leave my wash bag, tooth brush etc. as a lot of bathrooms at places we have stayed seem to lack a space for your wash kit. Being above a pub, we were concerned about noise levels but that was not a problem at all. We were in a handy location with a very good Co-Op store opposite and a good coffee and pastry shop (selling a lovely Nutella croissant!) next door but one. All in all, this was a great place to stay and we would stay here again.

It would have been perfect if we had a toaster in the kitchen area as we had a loaf, butter and marmalade with us for breakfast. (The accommodation doesn't offer breakfast). It would also have been better for privacy if there had been net curtains at the window, as we were facing the main road with people on the street and on the passing buses able to peer in. I know this doesn't bother some people, and we could easily draw the big, heavy curtains if we wanted to, this is just something we would have prefferred.

The room needs some serious updating or a deep clean and redecorate. The paint. Work is chipped and marked, the mattress in hard in place and has a big dip on side. The bathroom needs all the plumbing sorting as taps don’t work properly and sink didn’t drain away and shower plug hole dirty and hairs in bathroom. Small Kitchen was ok but tea bags not wrapped up and wet used sponge in sink isn’t hygienic. I wasn’t expecting that the hall way to be so unkept and having slam door to get the door to lock. Needs good full length Mirror in room and something to cover window so nobody can see in from across the way

Nicely decorated room. Bathroom very nice and good water pressure for the shower. Liked the fact there was a portable speaker and modern TV you could cast from phone. Pretty central and lots of bars, restaurants, supermarkets very close by. 2 mins from beach.

More care needed to make this a better choice. Nice big windows but our room was in facing a busy road. Not very private if curtains open. Particularly when buses passed. Need to think about helping with privacy. Noise also an issue from street below and annoyingly, lots of light coming in early morning, so proper blackout needed. There's a sink, kettle, a few items of crockery but could do with a toaster or microwave otherwise no real value in having a kitchenette.. There for 3 nights with husband but had to call for extra towels on day 1, as only 1 set given, only half a toilet roll, and shower plug seemed clogged up as slow to drain and always felt like it would flood. Light by door , not working so not that great coming in late, door very stiff.... So all on all, more care needed. Sorry, it didn't meet my expectations and didn't feel value for money in the end.
