Avondale, Lytham - Unique and luxury apartment in the heart of Lytham

What a find this mini apartment is. Well set up, nice selection of teas/coffee, nice products in bathroom. Spotlessly clean. The apartment has own entrance. Up a small flight of stairs - there's a little galley kitchen on the landing with a modern shower room, hand wash basin and loo off the end. You drop down 2 steps to a bed area. The bed is king-sized, there are extra throws and 2 hot water bottles. Mattress is memory foam, very comfy. I stayed solo - it would accommodate 2 Two comfy chairs for chilling, one with footrest. A big wall mounted TV for those who enjoy viewing. I just chilled. The apartment is on the side of the house so its away from heavy traffic - peaceful. I parked outside. There is free parking across the road on a hospital car park, a cafe there too. Charlotte, the owner, was friendly and accessible. I had a query about the heating - she responded immediately and solved my query. To access, Charlotte gives a code to a key safe. Its very private and peaceful and i loved my stay and would definitely return. Thank you.

Can't fault it

Although we have received a full refund for this booking after not staying, I feel it necessary to leave a review for future potential guests. The accommodation was described as suitable for 4 people, therefore we felt there would be a separate bedroom. There was not, the sofa bed was directly next to the double bed. . Parking is not available, we were advised we could park in the NHS car park over the road. This is not the case. Parking is reliant on whether there is space on the roadside. Other than mentioned above accommodation seems adequate on a budget although maybe only for 2 people.

Great convenient location. Own entrance to the property. Clean and modern.

It was cold - we couldn't work the heating, but to be fair, there is a notice from the landlord to say you could contact him 24/7 with any problems. We just didn't like to because it was late when we got back and found we couldn't work it. Thankfully, they had provided furry throws and hot water bottles.

The apartment was stylish and well presented with everything you needed for a short stay. I don’t really think it’s suitable for 4 adults or for stays longer than a night or two as there are only 2 chairs.

We had a problem with the heating system and the apartment was very cold. The hosts communicated mostly by text. We would have appreciated a visit to try and sort things out but this didn’t happen and we had no heating. The window sill was covered in water when we arrived which we mopped up but it was full of water again the following morning, obviously a leak which they haven’t fixed. Nowhere to put anything while you have a shower and nowhere to put anything such as glasses when you get into bed. All of the bedding was screwed up, nothing had been ironed which didn’t look very professional.

Beautiful decoration and very cosy. Information on posters on the walls and local pamphlets. Comfy bed. Nice kitchen tabletop. Paper feedback form and hosts contactable in case of issues with heating etc.

Hand soap in bathroom was empty. Minor issues with lights in bathroom. Lots of stairs if that is not suitable for you (no issue for me).

Location was lovely not to far from the seafront beautiful lite up windmill the apartment was beautiful very clean and well equipped host communicated well and there was instructions fir everything beds very comfy overall fantastic stay
