Seaside Loft

Central location, very clean and comfortable.

Good location

Great location with on street parking and minutes from the beach/shops. Well turned out flat, nice and clean with nice bright modern facilities. Nice and quiet and secure and I enjoyed my stay.

The mattress was uncomfortable and needs replacing as does the bedroom.blind so it blocks out light

The location is good, close to the sea and local shops.

Where to start.... The property was on the second floor with very low banisters so quite worrying when travelling with a toddler. On first impressions the flat seemed ok, nice pictures on the walls etc. Upon closer inspection this was not the case. The crockery was mostly dirty, so every cup/glass used needed to be washed before use. There appeared to be no kitchen bin just a bag left out on the side, luckily we did not do any cooking as this could of got quite messy and smelly too. Unlike all places I have stayed at in my past there was no tea and coffee apart from a dried up pot of coffee which appeared to have been there for a very long time. A half empty carton of milk which was perhaps left from previous guests. I went to use the hairdryer and could not find one in the flat, I messaged the host and received no response. I would not normally mind as perhaps that is not considered a necessity but it was clearly stated on the amenities list so I had not packed my own. Finally whilst staying at The seaside Loft I experienced an electrical shock to my hand. A plug attached to the gas fire was faulty ( half broken with exposed wires ). I had reached to find the plug for the floor lamp in the dark and accidentally reached for this one placing it in the wall without realising. I was early into a pregnancy so a large part of our very short break away was spent in the local A & E. We informed the host immediately and have since been in touch with booking.com. The host has not taken any responsibility for any of the above. I would urge others to really consider a stay at The seaside loft and ask Booking.com to not only check the hosts insurance but also their fire escape plans. I am never the sort fo person to write bad reviews so this has taken much time and consideration but I would hate others to experience what we did on what was meant to be a jolly weekend at the seaside.

The Loft is lovely. Very comfortable, clean and tidy with lovely decor and added extras. Would highly recommend.
