Purbeck Shepherd Huts

Very comfortable bed and well-equipped, compact kitchen. We loved sitting outside enjoying the BBQ and then watching the stars in the beautiful clear sky. The location was perfect for so many different walks. We would love to go back.

Great cosy little hut with helpful hosts.The grounds are private and plenty of grass for the dog. Beautiful and peaceful area great for walks and relaxing, especially coastal walks. Pub and tea room a stone's through away

Nice sea views from the windows & the lovely garden. The hut was cosy and had most utensils and appliances you'd need. Shower was really good. Was cosy and clean interior with nice touches, such as books, bottle of wine and muesli. Nice to sit outside in the evenings. Peaceful location.

It was probably the hottest day of the year, so got a bit warm in there (I think it would be even cosier to stay in colder weather with the log burner!). It was quite pricey for what is ultimately basic, albeit fairly unique/quirky and well kept accomodatuon (but I guess that's everywhere now). Probably not the best option for serious arachnophobes too, but that's also the joy of being the in country! :)

This is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed, the hut it’s self is picturesque and had everything we needed. Best shower I have ever had too!

There was nothing we didn’t like at all.

My boyfriend and I booked the Winspit Shepherds Hut as a last minute bank holiday weekend treat and it exceeded our expectations. We wanted a break from busy life back home and that we got! These huts are perfect if you need a place to relax and unwind. The surrounding area is also lovely and calm. We walked along the cliffs, enjoyed the sea view and took a trip to the Square and Compass pub on our first evening. During our second full day, we drove 20 mins to Studland Bay and took a dip in the sea! What a perfect beach! We then spent some time in Swanage and had fish and chips overlooking the sea. All in all, this trip was perfect and we will definitely definitely be back.

If you know you're booking a shepherds hut at the bottom of someone's garden it's fine however it was advertised on booking.com as an studio apartment with sea views & separate room & bathroom.

It was a shepherds hut at the bottom of someone's garden, right next to another shepherds hut. You could just about see the sea over the large shed & hedge in front of it! It was advertised as... "This apartment's special feature is the fireplace. This apartment consists of 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower " which is a bit misleading We wouldn't have spent the money we did if we had known. We have tried to contact the owner on several occasions but have had no response or resolution

Difficulty getting info via booking.com Attachment wasn’t there. Owner didn’t answer phone but was efficient via WhatsApp just before we arrived.

Gorgeous to wake up in the morning to a delicious coffee in bed with a view over the fields to the sea! The pub round the corner also serves great pasties and is a lovely local hangout.

There’s no signal as you come into the village, so it’s important to get the check in details before you arrive. The hosts were very good - I called them from the pub and they helped to direct me to the location.
