Purbeck Shepherd Huts

Very cute little place, beautifully designed for a tiny space, set in a lovely english village.

There was a slight cock up in that milk was supposed to be provided. We’d brought everything else needed as we were on foot walking the coast trail for a week and knew there are no shops in the village, so it was a bit of a pain and seemingly no-one was around to give us some. You also need to use a log burner for heat, which may or may not be your thing!

Great location

The keys were left in a drop box and the code given to me was wrong. When I phoned for the right code I found NO keys. We had to move to another hut which had no milk as promised. All this time we were messing around in the rain. I think more contingency plans should be put into place because it was pure luck that alternative accommodation. was available. If this other hut had been booked out then who knows where we would have gone.

It was in an absolutely perfect location. Opposite one of my all time favourite pubs I’ve been in. Super peaceful at night and equipped with everything we needed for the stay. The shower is great! The woodburning stove is wonderful to make it super cosy and warm despite it being January! Highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

Lack of matching cutlery!

Excellent location with sea view from the hut and the bed. Very cosy. Weather was not great so could not take advantage of the outdoors space but would be great in warm sunny weather. Wood burner was easy to use and provided plenty enough heating! Would definitely recommend!

The pouffe stools were not very comfortable to sit on. Only one egg cup.
