MAYAN MONK Suites

This place is great every time. Was far enough away from the super touristy area, but just a 10 minute walk to them.

I love the lighting…it’s dim. However, it would be great if you could change the lighting in the bathrooms to be a little brighter…kind of hard for shaving/grooming.

The staff: nobody speak English, it is impossibile communicate Our shower had not worked very well for 3 days (no pressure and cold water)

Rooms were clean and Modern

Showers had very low water pressure. Although we had a private pool, it was not heated, which would have been nice considering the time of year we visited. The elevator was out of order during the last two days of our visit.

The cleanliness, staff and great location.

Cozy studio with well equiped kitchen. They have a gym, very nice roof top and laundry room for free. The stuff is super nice.

Love the pool. Love the view. Great location. Good amenities.

The apartment was a bit small but it did not impact our stay.

Nice Appartment with big bathroom and kitchen with the most important things (few pans, plates, microwave, etc.). Also the bed was ver comfortable.

Communication and politness from the manager and staff is basically inexistent. Upon arrival despite speaking spanish they didn't even say hello and told us to look ourselves if our name is on the list for the check-in. Then also communication with the manager is horrible; for example before hand they told us by text message we can pay by card. On the property though they only accept cash. I showed them their own text message where they said card and instead of apoligizing they told me that it was my fault of not understanding (as if I could not read cash or card in the right way). Further on cleanliness of the place was not very good. There was sand everywhere and the plates in our kitchen were not washed from the guests before.

The location was quiet and a short walk to a beautiful quiet beach. It was very clean and modern. Beds were very comfy. Staff was friendly Spanish speaking, so we used Google translate. Room cleaning is extra, 600 pesos.

Our condo, Suite 201, had a serious problem with hot water. All my showers were luke warm. The staff said there was nothing they could do, so I lived with it. But I won't be returning.

The shower and a/c were in perfect working order. It was dark and quiet which made it easy to sleep there. Excellent value .
