Julies Apartments

We booked this stay under unusual circumstances - we were unable to go home and stranded in Crete. Julie and Manthos were amazing! So understanding and nice and compassionate. Julie baked us a cake, they did our laundry and several times a day checked up on us to see if we were ok and needed anything, if everything was ok. amazing people, I have no words. The place is great - easy and quick access by foot to several supermarkets and stores, restaurants... the beach is a walking distance away - excellent location!

Amazing hosts. Very helpful and nice. Late check in was available (plane arrived late at night). Everything was perfect. I definitely recommend.

A wonderful holiday apartment with truly exceptional hosts – Julie and Manthos gave us a warm welcome with homemade treats and lots of helpful tips about the island and its sights. The room was beautifully furnished, and the large balcony was a real highlight. Excellent value for money, and any questions we had were answered quickly and flexibly. The only minor downside: the supermarket next door can be a bit noisy at times – but after two days, we barely noticed it anymore. The central location comes with some hustle and bustle, but it also means you’re close to everything. Overall: Absolutely recommended!

Arrived at the small apartment in Crete, a fine and sturdy place. The living quarters were modest yet well-equipped, with a small but efficient kitchen. Every appliance functioned without fault, from the mini electric stove and oven to the ever-reliable mini-fridge. A space forged for those who know how to make do with just what they need—no more, no less. The nearby stores and markets were a short walk away, perfect for gathering provisions and wares. But what truly made this stay stand out were the hosts, more welcoming than any tavern keeper after a long journey. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm, handmade cookies and a shot of rakia, the strong drink flowing like liquid fire—a proper Cretan welcome. As if that wasn’t enough, the hosts handed us a finely detailed, handwritten map, etched with love and care. This wasn’t some generic scrap—oh no! It marked not only the local treasures—hidden cafés, quiet beaches, and the best taverns—but also points of interest across the whole island. A map fit for an adventurer seeking to explore new lands. And best of all, we had our own small private yard, a peaceful spot where we could relax after a day of exploration. It was a fine place to unwind or enjoy a meal at the outdoor table. If there’s one small downside, it’s that the bathroom was a bit cramped—perhaps not suited for those who enjoy more space—but even that was a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things. All in all, this place was a gem. Solid structure, kind hosts, and everything a traveler could ask for. If ever my journey brings me back to Crete, I know where I’ll rest my boots once more.

Bathroom / shower a bit small

Our host Julie was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It was located next to a big supermarket and one store that's open until 4am everyday. Bus station is also very close. Our apartment had 2 AC's and very spacious balcony where we spent most of our time. Good deal for this price whether you travel as a family or a group of friends.

We rented 2 apartments as we had a long layover before our flight back to the UK. What a beautiful welcome from Julie and Manthos. Made some lovely homemade biscuits for us and also enjoyed a shot with Manthos. Apartments were so clean and just perfect for what we needed it for.
